Pours red with a hint of brown. Head is white and short lasting. Aroma is very hoppy, but has dry, vinous notes and a weak sweetness. Taste is very hoppy as well, but definately have got some wine-grapes to it. Much lighter than i recall he Syrah grape, but the beer of course doesnít have the same alcohol, or the more dense body of a red wine. I donít really think that the grape must improves the taste of the beer, but it is present for sure, and does provide some complexity.

Red with pink glows. Aroma: malty, hops, fresh an winery. Taste and palate: medium body, bitter, wine notes equal to a rosé wine, floral, red fruits and dry at the end. Very nice hybrid.

Bottle. An interesting selection for the folks at Dogfish Head brewing. Not your grandpas IPA. Pours a purplish brown with a nice full purple tinged head. Dissipates with good uniform lacing. Aroma is has a slight Chardonnay undertone to the IPA smell. Sweet grape offsets the normally dry IPA taste. Great change of pace. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very tasty beer for an IPA not too hoppy... Lots of flavor great pick up from dog fish head selection not too... I'd say a great starter to head into the more ultra hoppy IPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I seriously canít remember the last time I was more disappointed with a beer. Iím sure its happened but this one has to rank up there as one of the most disappointing ones ever. Iím normally somewhat forgiving of DFH in their attempts at experimentation, but sometimes you have to stop and realize youíve just produced something awful and just dump it, donít bottle it, pretend its an interesting experiment and foist it on an unexpecting public. Thatís the sort of thing that makes people stop buying your beer. You want me to stop buying DFH altogether? Cuz thatís how you get me to stop buying DFH altogether. Oh wait, you know what? The last time I was this disappointed was 7 years ago when I bought DFH Fort. Man, really. Oh and the review? Stale wine and cigarette butts. That is accurate and the beer doesnít otherwise deserve more analysis than that. Somebody deserves to get kicked in the nuts for this.

Floral.....muted....nothing too special about this ale save its good mix of fruit into an ale without being obvious.

Pinkish amber body, frothy white head. Aroma is wine, light malt, spruce, faint strawberry. Taste is very light malt, faint grape, lemon, peach, hops bitter finish. Palate is very light, carbonation moderate and very fine. Very refreshing.

Pours almost burgundy with slight head. Citrus notes of an IPA but has a wine like finish. The wine taste isnít over powering though. Alcohol is disguised well too. Smooth beer but the grape takes away from what would likely be another very fine dfh IPA

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Has a nice red amber color with a head that goes away fairly quick. Has a nice hoppy sweet aroma. Definitely has a end finish of grape but does not take away from the normal 60 minute clean hop finish. Overall a very good beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
