2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle into a Duvel tulip.
A: Pours a crystal-clear reddish color. The head is a one finger white shade. I love the look and the texture of the head, in particular.
S: There is a shit ton of earthy mustiness to this one - okay, itís not the freshest bottle by any stretch, but the hops are damn near nonexistent. Unsweetened grape, caramel, and toffee notes round out the mediocre aroma.
T: At first, it drinks much like 60 Minute, with its malty opening giving way to a vaguely citrusy midpoint. Itís the finish that ruins things, offering far too much musty sourness. Every once in a while, I notice a vinous tone on the aftertaste that I enjoy, but this is a mess otherwise.
M: Sweet and a bit heavy. The vinous notes try to cleanse the palate, but instead only create astringency. I donít think its undrinkable, but there are too many conflicting qualities in both the flavor and the palate to make it
O: This offering is proof positive that gimmicky and innovative are two entirely different beasts altogether - and this is most certainly the former. Itís basically 60 Minute crossed with a crappy wine. Címon, Dogfish Head, less gimmicky nonsense and more quality offerings!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It pours purple! Awesome Small to medium sized reddish purple head. Must be the grapes, eh? Smells of grapes and hops. Taste is similar to what I just said. This beer surprised me with its goodness.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Wow am I glad I only bought a single bottle. Nice looking pour with fast fizzy head. Sort of purple amber look. Smell is round and not much hops. Taste is dominantly red win ish with round malt profile being dominant. Not much else going on.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Taste is mix of hops and light wine aroma, with pink pour; taste is similar to aroma with distinct hop and wine notes; interesting beer, but Red&White and NobleRot have more interesting wine+beer melds.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma of grapes, citrus, and caramel. Taste is winey and bitter and a little sweet. Medium bodied. A little too much like carbonated wine.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours ruby red with tons of fine silky white head. Smell is sweet and hoppy with some fruit, citrus, and a bit of grape. Palate is medium bodied with good carbonation. Taste is quite interesting, sweet at first, the bitter, then somehow so fruitiness works its way in to the bitterness before giving way to a short bitter aftertaste. Interesting indeed, though obviously not a straight up IPA. Haters gonna hate.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle - pours clear red with white head. Nose is floral and musty. Flavor adds tart berries and cassis. "I happen to hold the clam sauce". Tart taste. I agree with other reviews in that this is more like a fruit beer than an IPA. OK for a fruit beer, but awful for an IPA. Unlike some other people on here, I will rate it as a beer and not as a style.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle. This pours a reddish-copper color; a tint of pink in there too, with a thin white head on top. It smells rather fruity, with wine/red grapes, floral hops, and buttery notes. Itís sweet going down and a bit spritzy. The flavors, once again, are fruity and tannic, with grapes and berries. Itís definitely got a cheap sweet wine thing going on throughout. Thereís some caramel malt, and a very slight floral hop presence as well. This is no IPA; very much like a grape version of their Aprihop beer, which I didnít like either. I actually donít know why I even bought this, this isnít at all surprising. Itís not undrinkable though. Just not very good either.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Comes out of the bottle an attractive tawny amber with a fairly thick, though rather effervescent, light tan head. Hoppy aroma has a definite overtone of grape, more at grape juice than wine. It has a strange, slightly nasty note that I canít quite identify - something unique to Syrah grapes? Well, give it a break, maybe these are an acquired taste. Grape taste is a bit overpowering, almost drowning out the malty and hoppy notes. Smooth texture has good viscosity but lacks fizz. OK, had to give it a try.
