Bottle pour. Pours a nice ruby amber. Sweet on the nose, good aroma, strong. Good flavor with a nice clean finish. Not sure why this one has such bad ratings, I liked it quite a bit.

Nice hoppy aroma and nice amber color. Taste of sour grape, little citrus and hops. Unique tasting beer.

12 oz bottle pours a reddish amber color with an off white head. Aromas of light floral hops, sour grape. Medium bodied, definitely different and interesting.

bottle, I have to admit, I couldnít wait to try this beer. It was disappointing, not an ipa coming from Dogfish Head, but still overall, not all that bad either.

Possibly the most disappointing beer Iíve ever had...given the pedigree and the many great DFH brews Iíve enjoyed. This beer fails on so many different levels. This is in no way, shape, or form and IPA...period.

Taste is kind of sour bitter with a little grape, not very good. Not very hoppy for an IPA. A disappointment for sure.

P: White Zinfandel appearance with ADHD carbonation. Crystal clear with a finger of sudsy white pink tinted wine head. Leaves behind soapy residue on the edges. S: Tart grape must forward aroma that dominates the nose. Earthy, musty hops, grapefruit, blood orange, flower petals and fruit vines. Subtle booze. T/M: Sour, acidic and boozy. Very wine like. Taste follows the nose but the hops come through more to counteract the sweetness. Bubbly light medium body that swishes nicely in your mouth. Finish is dry earthy flavored bitterness with a touch of black pepper. O: A white Zinfandel mimic with a dash of hops. This is probably my favorite fruit beer so far and I would recommend it for sure. I love how DFH changes stuff up and gets creative. As far as Iím concerned this is a success. Cheers!

reddish-amber color with a pinkish-white head; sour grape and floral hop aroma; dry, tart grape flavor with bitter floral hops; a decent beer - I love tart beers and I love hoppy IPAs, but this one just didnít blend as well as I had expected it to.

Pours a rather off putting purple color with little to no head. Aroma is sour old beer and wine, very fruity. The taste is a little bitter and fruity and winey. Itís pretty gross. This tastes nothing like an IPA. I was really excited for this beer and itís a big disappointment.

I'm not a fan of all of Dogfish's mad scientist type beers but I think this one is outstanding. The grape must gives the 60 minute a much more complex character and makes the beer smoother and fuller. One of the best aromas I have experienced in a beer. Color has a unique amber reddish hue. Taste is a very well balanced combination of beer and red wine. Palate finishes dry with lingering notes of dark fruit and a little oakiness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
