3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reddish purple in color, clear with a thin purple head. Nice ipa flavor with that grape sugary flavor. Light, dry and a terrific finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour is clean and bright, pinkish orange with two fingers of sticky pinkish white head. Nose has a distinctly vinous character, lightly acidic and grape-y. Some grassy and citrusy notes come through. Definitely vinous/grape-y in the flavor. Some citrus rind shows as well. Dry with a crisp finish and moderate bitterness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I dug this one....like a combination of beer and wine. Somewhat hoppy up front, and lot of fruit and grape in the middle, and retains the dry finish. Sort of reminded me of sparkling cider...but less sugary. I think it would be a good summer beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very interesting beer. Pours a bright pink with an aroma of a light cranberry juice. Light on the tongue with a cranberry-like after taste. Overall, different. Donít think they nailed it on the first release. May change my mind in future releases. Will revisit.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Pours reddish purple with a foamy off-white head. Aroma of grassy hops, grapefruit rind, Earth, and caramel. The Syrah flavors really come through in the flavor and the end product is very much like a lightly hopped red wine. I think that may be what the brewer was trying to achieve. Of all of the Dogfish experiments over the past few years this one at least seems to have some focus. Overall, this is very refreshing, surprisingly drinkable, but certainly not what I typically think of when I reach for an IPA.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottles from Caponeís, Craft, and RR Street. Pours dark coppery with some magenta hues and a finger of off-white head with some pinkish edges. Nose is caramel malt, hops, red wine grapes. Tastes dry, almost to the level of a dry red wine, but not with as much body. The hops fall off late. This one straddles the beer/wine barrier, and does not knock my socks off.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle (date stamp Feb 26 2013) via SL... Funky red color, small head that faded fast. Musty grape smell with some kool-aid sugar. Taste...... where the F*ck are the hops? Not sure what this is. If they labled it a wheat or Berliner or some any thing else I would be ok with it, but to call it an IPA. Wrong. It does have some musty notes and some kool-aid taste.Thats about it. Medium body. Easy to drink. But is really boring.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a bright, clear red with an inch of coarse, light pink head. Settles in minutes with some lacing. Aroma is hoppy, resinous, fruity, grape, grape cough syrup. Flavor is mildly hoppy, bitter, and resinous up front with a fruity, grape, sweet finish, hints of wine and grape soda. Flavor drops off a bit quickly in the finish. Grape must and hoppiness are interesting combination Moderate to soft carbonation, medium-light body, and smooth finish. Another DFH experiment, it is an interesting beer, glad I tried it, but too fruity for me. More of a fruit beer than an IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Super-grapey. Red in the glass with a pink-hued head. Aromas are effervescent raspberry and cranberry. A bit floral. Then the hops and grape must hit your palate. Nice flavors, but in combination they clash just a bit too much. The jarring effect is refreshing, but also wearies the palate. I do like the sourness of the syrah musts in the beer, however, maybe with the 90 minute?

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours red amber.- almost like wine. Aroma is tropucal fruits. Taste is almost grape-like, but very vague. Mid palate is chalky and finish is smoothly bitter. Smells more promising than it actually is.
