3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours deep amber, faint pink half finger thin head, nice lacing. Aroma, bready, caramel malt, un-ripe grapes, no hop presence. Taste grapes up front, then bready, caramel malt, not overly sweet, but still no hop presence. Mouth feel is medium body, high carbonation, sweet finish. Overall, interesting, not bad, but not real good, it?s like an amber ale with a bit of grape juice.

I’m disappointed with this beer. It has a weird taste that isn’t horrible but not something I’d get again.

Bottle. Bottled on: 05/10/13. A clear ruby pour with a thick off-white head. The subtle nose features some crisp caramel maltiness, grapes, hints of cherries, and a splash of lemon juice. Thin to medium-bodied and crisp on the way down. The taste starts with some grapes, light plum flavors, berries, and wine. A touch of caramel and some cereal graininess here and there. Bitter lemons and grapefruit juice at the end. The quality is there, but it’s not exactly my cup of tea (like most other Dogfish beers, it seems).

I appreciate dogfish trying to do something different than just another regular ipa, just wish their beers weren’t so pricey. Purple color is interesting, definitely good grape presense, more so than other beers breweed with fruit. I think it could make a goo session ale.

Bottle. Pink? Colored pour with a white head. Smells like an IPA with some grapes in it. Taste is pretty close to the way it smells. It was alright, perhaps a bit too much grape in it for me.. A novelty as most of their beers are. I just read 61 minute and immediately thought it was a variation of 60. Little did I know... pretty much the reason I quit buying Dogfish beers other than 60 and WWS is summed up with this beer.

I really enjoyed this one. Appearance was light pink. Aroma was of hops and grape. Flavor was typical IPA, hop forward and aggressive, with a nice dose of grape thrown in there. Very enjoyable.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Light sweetish nose of cherries and light brandy. Dark reddish copper color with a soap sudsy head. Caramel with herbs and sherry / some sour bitterness added to the fruit / finishes a bit dry. Medium thin body. Tasty -- but doesn’t really develop in any direction. Grape must... well, I suppose it could.
