This is surprisingly refreshing. Tastes of a nice Belgian brew but has aftertaste hints of wine. Typically that doesn't sound good to me, but I really like how well it works with this beer. The grape must is sweet, almost concord tasting but somehow only appears in the complex aftertaste. This is very well balanced fir its complexity. I will be getting this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A hoppy wine, or a grapey beer? Just a weird mix that isnít as satisfying as either a good red wine or IPA.

Red, clear, thin white head. Smell of raspberries, grapes, dusty hops. Moderate sweet, malty, some grapes, sulfide, not at all inviting. Moderate bitter; a disappointment i have to say

Pours a pinkish, light burgundy color with a white head. Faint grape and malt smell. Medium mouthfeel. Tastes like a mix of red wine and cheap malt liquor.

Carmel color Very nontraditional IPA taste, at least on the IPA side of the two prominent flavors. On the wine side, Iím getting pleasant, light, red wine components. Not a bad effort for Dogfish but just not my kind of style. $9.99/multi sixer at Wegmans, Leesburg VA

Bottle - Pours a peach/amber with a small, fizzy head. Wine and fruit aromas. Taste like an ale aged in white wine barrels. All good but the finish, which ends a bit off. Very refreshing, a good ale & wine combo. The more I drink this, the more I like it. I know Syrah is a red grade, but I get a white wine flavor and taste.

Aroma is bread, grapes and a mild hint of nuttiness. The flavor is malts, citrus, nuttiness, fruit/grapes and a mix of mild heat/tart/slightly bitter in the finish.

Bottle. Caramel color with purple hue. Thick pink head with some lacing. Grape aroma. Hops and fruit upfront; grape notes. Medium-long fruity finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells quite nice, grape juice, acidity, citrus hops. Not overly complex but nice. Looks beautiful, read with streaming effervescence, thick long lasting white head. Taste doesnít impress too much, upfront citrus hops and grape juice, finishes with cat-pee like hops and a slightly sweet finish. Hops here donít go to well with the grape must. Light bodied and average carbonation.

Bottled@SBWF2014. Deep red colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some mild toffee and nutty notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, mild berries as well as some rosy and floral notes. Nothing that special.

Kind of an average Dogfish Head beer. Good hops in the aroma which caries to the body. A bit of a grape flavor, not much, hard to detect.
