2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Great purple color, nice foamy head. Unfortunately, the sweet aftertaste isn’t for me and left me slightly nauseous. Doesn’t really work that well, certainly not like the peach one.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg @ The Hanging Bat, Edinburgh. Pours pink/red thin white head. Nose is citrus, pine, slighty sweet white wine thing going on. Taste is wine, fruity wine like a zinfandel rose but then with a soap finish, thin.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear dark copper color with golden orange edges and a two finger, frothy white head that very slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Very good retention with streaks of soapy lacing left behind.
Earthy, musty aroma with soil-y, piney hops, sweet malt and vinous dark fruit notes. The hop profile is a bit tame and one dimensional for my preference with hints of grass, dirt and pine needle. Sweet malt backbone is prominent with caramel toffee and dark fruit along with jammy grape must. The grape must really stands out in the nose with a prominent jelly-like character along with some plum, raisin and other berries. I like the grape and other dark fruit notes but the hops are almost completely buried/overpowered. Doesn’t really smell like an IPA.
The flavor profile is almost the complete opposite of the aroma. The nose was dominated by vinous fruit with subtle hops but the flavor is very hop forward with dry, earthy bitterness that lingers over the malt backbone and vinous fruit flavors into a dry finish. Floral and earthy with grassy, piney hops that provides bitter resinous flavor which is countered by caramel malt, toasted bread and dark fruit. The grape must stands out with jammy sweetness along with hints of currant, raisin and plum. The grape must provides a nice counterpoint to the bitterness but the hops are a bit one dimensional and the malt backbone is stronger than I prefer. Easy to drink and an interesting take on the continuously hopped minute series but it’s not a beer that I would seek out again.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
From a bottle, this is a fruit beer? Ha ha, very funny for an ipa dressed in syrah. Quite attractive with its ’i wanna bee wine like look." upon first taste impressions, barely can call this a fruit beer, its ipa-ish in nature from start to fin. Must say, it does hide the alky content well and its a little less mouth coating than a triple ipa. Well, now I guess I need to try the DFH 30, heheh. IPA lovers will like this fruit beer, surprised its not rate in the 90th percentile on RB considering its ipa attitude.

Taste followed the nose for the most part, getting purple grape, plum, dark fruit, floral, light Syrah grape, earthy malts and buttery malts. (Taste - 3.25)
Medium-to-light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.25)
Nope. This was just not good. A good attempt at something different though. (Overall - 3.25)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured into a perfect pint.
3.25 A: Clear light amber color. Two fingers of frothy off-white head. Retention is about average with just a few wisps of lacing left behind.
3.75 S: This is definitely an interesting take on the normal brew. Earthy and citrusy hops. Caramel maltiness. Awesome extra layer of goodness with the grape in there. It works very well.
3.75 T: Grape is the feature of the nose. It leads the way with every sip. Earthy and citrusy hops with caramel malts.
3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Could be a bit creamier, but good enough.
3.5 D: Interesting take on a solidly drinkable brew.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - small foamy head, hazy dark copper color, pretty balanced overall with earthy hops, moderate malt, can't really taste any grape flavor to be honest, not bad overall
