The nose is strong with pine, citrus and cannibis. First taste is strong with malt but hps penetrate soon. Hop flavors lingers nicely. Booziness is present but not over powering. Nice stuff much better than the regular 90 min. glennmastrange (870), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 26, 2009 Bottle. Moderate aromas all around, with roasted and caramel for the malt, orange/grapefruit and fresh cut pine for the hops, broth for the yeast, and background notes of date, brown sugar, pepper and cherry. Head is small, both frothy and wispy, white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear orange. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, oily and has a lively carbonation. A super tasty beer with all the attributes I like in a DIPA. jeremytoni (1141), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 21, 2009 Champagne bottle shared in West Chester tasting, using this for 500, really enjoyed it. Poured a chunky amber with an off white foam head, some sticky lacing. Aroma filled the nose with a rich brewed consist. Sipped and savored, this had a liquor like mouth feel with a hop and malt texture. Subtly sweet with a slight dry bitter balance. Love to get another and cellar. Got the bottle in the Devonshire Pub display, good stuff! StFun (534), Indiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Big thanks to GMCC2181 for sending this one my way. A really, really nice one. Pours a big cloudy amber, with stuff swirling around inside. Aroma is amazing, big and metallic, with lots of acidic fruit. Flavor is great as well, big and juicy with candied fruit notes, and a copper finish. Grassy hints and some tropical fruits as well. Just a great mix of aromas and flavors: the citris fruit mixes with candy and lime, and lemons and grass and what happens is a great, great beer. Thanks again, man!
