3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: The pour is a slightly hazed golden with a short lived white head that ends up being a thin ring around the glass.
S: Lots and lots of spice, particularly cardamom. The spice/herbal character makes the beer almost medicinal. There seems to be some peppery notes to it as well. Maybe a little bit of fruit and oak.
T: The oak seems to be way more present on the palate. An intensely herbal and spicy flavor of cardamom, sage, and pepper. Sweet and slightly sugary underneath.
M: The body is medium with a moderate level of carbonation.
D: A little too spicy for me to be able to drink all that much of it, but surprisingly decent for a beer that Dogfish Head beer.
