Tweason’ale is a beer we brewed on the cusp of summer. It is a gluten-free sorghum based beer brewed with fresh strawberries from our friends at Fifer Orchards near Dover, Delaware. For the sorghum, we sourced a dark, sweet, syrup with notes of molasses and pit-fruit. We also used a a dark buckwheat honey with a beautiful hay-like, earthy-malty thing that we felt added the final touch to this Tweason’ale recipe.

Sweet strawberry smell, taste is medicinal and artificial although it probably isn’t, bad, watery finish...love the brewery but not this beer :(

12 oz bottle poured into pint. Yeasty aroma. No head. Pours a light yellow gold. Very yeasty taste, but strawberries and slight sweetness come through.

Poured from 12 fl oz bottle. Clear, yellowy orange with minimal white head. Malt, honey, light herbal, and mild strawberry extract. Doesn’t really blend well. Wouldn’t bother with it again.

Clear Light Amber Color, Small White Head Gone In A Matter Of Seconds, Decent Strings Of Lacing. Faint Aroma Of Strawberries. Champaign Like, Way Over Carbonated, Hardly Resembles Beer. Sorghum, Faint Strawberries, Light Honey Sweetness Followed by Sour Finish. I’ve had one Sorghum beer before and it was absolutely the worst thing. This one is on the other side of the scale, it is quite Decent. Drinkable although it is not my cup of tea. One And Done. Pass It...

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a clear copper with a white head of foam. The aroma has honey and old strawberries. The taste is musty strawberries. Sweet. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Bottle. Dark gold with a thick white head. Aroma is artificial strawberry, honey and white wine. Taste is similar but adds horrible rubber and old paper. Just gross. Thin sticky mouthfeel. Not good.

12 oz. bottle served in tumbler- poured a transparent orange/copper color, medium carbonation, white ring upon the glass with a small white film and several small frog eyes upon the surface for a head. Aroma of raw pizza dough, and honey. Hits the mouth with a light body, malt is extremely light, sourness in the middle, finish is has some strawberries. Old bottle definitely, but still not too bad.

Bottle. Light amber body with a small head. Aroma of artificial strawberry, honey. Lightly tart taste of strawberry jam, sugar, mild orange. Feels watered out, as the taste kind of disappears abruptly. It’s not all bad, but it does get boring quick.

Bottled. Sticky yellow pour. Honey, strawberry but really kind of nasty. Avoid even if you’re celiac.
