COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tweason’ale is a beer we brewed on the cusp of summer. It is a gluten-free sorghum based beer brewed with fresh strawberries from our friends at Fifer Orchards near Dover, Delaware. For the sorghum, we sourced a dark, sweet, syrup with notes of molasses and pit-fruit. We also used a a dark buckwheat honey with a beautiful hay-like, earthy-malty thing that we felt added the final touch to this Tweason’ale recipe.

Bottle. Taste and aroma is fake strawberry and other bad tasting and smelling things. Wow, not good.

Bottle:   Orange hued straw, thin sudsy white head, sparce lacing, light carbonation.   Slight medicinal aroma, some strawberry bubblegum wrapper type plastic, with some wax for good measure.   Plastic and wax on the tongue.   I fail to see anything good about this one.   These are the same folks who made Raison d’Extra?   I dont think I can finish this... backside has a faint fake fruitiness thats not sweet, but instead medicinal.   Blech...

Pours an amber hue into the glass with a small quickly dissipating head. Aroma faintly of strawberries. Really thin mouth feel and the flavor is very muted compared to what I was expecting. I was expecting nice sweet honey/strawberry flavor what I got was watered down strawberry fizz. I really enjoy DFH and so maybe I went into this with my hopes high from previous beers I’ve had from them. You can’t win em all. Dogfish Head makes some quality brews for sure, this just isn’t one of them.

Pours a reddish amber with lots of carbonation. Head dissipates rapidly, and so does the carbonation. Aroma is heavy strawberry, but like dried strawberries or strawberry shortcake. A bit of honey in the aroma. Taste is sweet, then tart, with a thin mouthfeel. Reminds me a bit of what a strawberry lambic would taste like. Very easy to drink, especially since it is 97 degrees here today. Pretty refreshing, and much less disgusting than many of the reviews implied.

Appearance: reddish golden color, the head dissolves quickly and the head is not very dense, there is not much lacing on the glass, the color is very appetizing and you can see the carbonation bubbles in the beer which is pleasing Aroma: the first thing I smell is honey, it has a slight fruit aroma but the honey smell is definitely dominant Taste: key notes honey, not very sweet which I expected from a strawberry type beer, can tell it is not a wheat based beer Palette: the flavor comes more at the end of the sip, the taste evolves and develops as the sip is taken Overall: I would prefer a non gluten beer but for gluten free individuals this beer is a great Alternative and is a refreshing light beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong strawberry and something else smell. Strong aroma. Taste is very sweet like honey and some strawberry fruit tang. Drinks like a fruit beer. Like the potancy of this one, packed with flavor.

bottle from ABC on Betton. Aroma is muted berry. Tastes are cherry, soapy, rubbing alcohol, grainy nectar, cider, yeasty peach. Strange brew - though not as bad as the scores would indicate for me.

This is my second gluten free brew I’ve sampled. 12 oz. bottle from Hampton Falls Village Market. Aromas of lots of tart strawberry, apple cider, weak caramel and a touch of aspirin. Flavor is another swing and a miss for DFH. Over ripe strawberries, cider vinegar with wheat and some honey. The berry lingers after the sip. It also has a medicinal after taste. I feel like a gluten free beer shouldn’t be done. I guess this isn’t completely undrinkable if you really like strawberry. And I did finish the bottle but not something I would ever tell somebody to try.

Pours super light golden with notes of strawberry dominating the aroma. Taste is lacking something though it is gluten free. Overall refreshing but not a overal great beer
