World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

Really good but pricey. I purchased it in MN or WI (bought many beers that day). I’d like to make a black and tan, if it’ll work, with this beer and Dogfish Head 120 Min IPA

I tried this beer on January 15, 2009 at "The Beer Bistro" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a shimmering blackish-brown with a brown head, about 0.5" thick. The aroma was dark roasted malts, figs. molasses, caramel, and chocolate. The mouthfeel was full-bodied, warm, and medium carbonation. The flavour was rich, malty, lots of dark fruit and cocoa. A nice warming beer.

The smell is alcohol, dark chocolate, coffee, roastiness, some residual sweetness, dark fruits, and licorice. The look is dark brown to black with a small beige colored head. The taste is alcohol, chocolate, sweet, roasty, malts, and suprisingly balanced. Nice rounded complexity of all the flavors nothing dominates. Great sipping beer.

I got this a couple days ago, but after getting silly on saturday night I had to wait till today to try this. And it’s F!@#ing epic. It pours a very dark brown with no head. The aroma is licorice and chocolate, with hints of coffee. When compared to Expy stout, this is just a lot smoother and sweeter. Both beers have their own amazing qualities. This is just a bonkers beer that wows me, 1 because the alcohol is incredibly hidden, and 2 because I don’t feel like it’s trying to be trendy or popular. It’s greatness lies in the way it was brewed, and the people who brewed it. Bravo to DFH for creating some of the best beers the world has ever seen. Also I’m a little loopy, sorry for such a long rating. lol:) Cheers!

12 oz. Bottled on 10/29/05. One of my all time favorite beers! Off black color (if there is such a thing) with minimal to no head after three plus years in the bottle. Nose is lightly alcoholic, with a hint of roasted grains and some sugar scents from the malt. Flavor is amazingly complex with notes of vanilla, leather, maple syrup, dark candied fruits and roasted malt. Has a velvety texture that reminds me of partially melted butter. To say that this beer is ridiculously smooth at 18% would be an understatement. Not nearly as much espresso/coffee/roasted character as many Imperial Stouts. While obviously tending towards the sweet side, the hops are noticeable and lend a subtle bitter backbone to keep it from being a sugar bomb. Finish is relatively long lasting and a bit like the aftermath of a spoonful of maple syrup. Give it time in the bottle and don’t touch until it warms up a bit in your snifter.

2007 bottle: Pours a jet black with a small, light brown head. Amazingly deep aroma of fudge, raisins, light roastiness, and extremely heavy malts. Very similar malt character to the 120 IPA except for the darkness. Wow, this beer impresses me every time. So amazingly sweet. Flavors of raisins, sweet candied plums, and chocolate. Very light on the roasted coffee for a stout. I love this beer. The body is so smooth all the way through the finish and there is no hint of the high ABV. Delicious.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with a tan head.Aroma is sweet, alcohol, roasted malt underneath. The sweet aroma is almost a black stone fruit, cherries. Mouthfeel really coats the mouth. Taste is sweet alcohol, cherries, roasted malt. Not too bitter, but leaves a nice aftertaste. There are other flavors in there i can’t name, a sour, also a vanilla/oak flavor. Delicious.

pours a dark brown, topped with thin fizzy tan bubbles aroma is rum-raisin, cocoa, green apple, and cloying sweetness flavor is fairly alcoholic, but bursting with every sort of sweet treat you could think of i wouldn’t say it was "well balanced", but somehow the flavor is not too cloying there’s also some vanilla and oak, something sour, and some coffee also some soft cheese (brie?) flavors as it warms up very warm finish nice medium body it is delicious, but should come in like 4 oz servings, definitely hard to finish a whole one on your own...
