2007 - Dark green cap, date stamp
2008 - Yellowish-green cap, date stamp
World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of alcohol, roasted malts, and slight chocolate. Poured black in color with a small, rocky, beige head that lasted throughout around the edges. Opaque. Not sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and alcohol hot. Tastes of alcohol, raisins, dried ripe fruit, vanilla, slight smoke, roasting, light bourbon, slight wood, and light caramel. Medium to full body. Slightly thick, coating texture. Average carbonation. Alcohol, roasted malt, and raisin finish.

Bought at Whole Foods in Plantation Fla. Pour is black with no head. Aroma is booze, caramel, more booze and some sweet malt. Flavor is better than expected with caramel and chocolate mixed with the alcohol. Full bodied and definitely a sipper.

Pours thick and black with a brown, loud diminishing head. Aroma is intense, no need to even put yout nose in the sniffer. Molassas, chocolate, dates and coffee. Thick and coating on the pallate, warming and sour. Not too aweet, yet intense carmalized sugar taste along with chocolate, prune and alcohol. Thick, heavy, intense but not over the top. A treat

12oz bottle. Poured deep black with a brown head. Aroma has hints of dark fruit. Taste is of bitter chocolate, dried fruits, spice, deep malts. Very little bitterness. Finish is a little sweet with big alcohol. Drinkability is alright but with the alcohol you do not want a second.

330 mL. Pours a used motoroil pitch black with a two-finger tan head that sticks around. Aroma is very similar to the 120 Min IPA- lots of port wine, rum raisin, and booze. Taste is more like an icewine or good port than a stout. The intense sweetness from the chocolate and caramel malt hides the 18% much better than the 120 Min hides its huge alcohol content. There is some chocolate, molasses, maple syrup, and coffee as well with almost a burn of warming alcohol in the finish but it is not unpleasant. Super intense but a joy to drink.

It has been a long time, but I was given the chance to have this again last night. The high alcohol is masked nicely for a very sweet intense stout. Lovely aroma. Well balanced. Excellent beer. Perfect for the snowy weather.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a large, brown head. Lacing is fantastic. Aromas of wine, port, molasses, and a bit of brown sugar. Creamy texture that finishes amazingly smooth. Taste is also extremely smooth for a beer this powerful - wonderful aftertaste of some roasted malts. One of the best!
