World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

HELL YES! Beautiful black beer poured into a nice big snifter and enjoyed until it was ALL gone. Nose is molasses, raisins, syrup, and toffee. Brew is sweet and thick. Coats glass, leaving it a dark brown. Flavor is molasses, roasty malts, syrup...YES!

Thank you so much After4ever/Tom, for this one from our first trade in January 2007. It’s a vintage 2004 and I enjoy it mid May 2008. It’s pitch black with a small, creamy, tan head. The aroma is vinous with notes of roasted malt, port-wine, hints of oranges, dark fruit, licorice and syrup. The mouthfeel is oily and leaves a layer on tongue and teeth. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, sweet licorice, dark fruit, preserved figs, blood orange, and towards the end I find licorice, that develops into coffee in the very, very long finish. There is nothing much more to say than it’s a fantastic beer!

12oz bottle (2006 vintage).....pours heavy dark and close to black. a mild light brown head topped it off but was quick to disappear.....ripe dark fruits, mostly red cherries, was what i noticed most upon first scent. then some molasses and maple made their way into the equation. very light on the typical imperial stout aromas of chocolate and sweet malt although there was some to contend with.....sweet flavor that was initiated with dark cherries, chocolate, and rich sugars. heavy hot and boozy as i would expect with a brew of this magnitude. this didn’t remind me so much of an imperial stout as it did a port wine.....not sure if i’m too big of a fan of this. i can feel this kicking my ass as i write this. i def enjoyed the 2003 version more as it was a lot more tame and matured. yet was even stronger for some reason. well executed though for such a dominating brew.

Bottle thanks to dchmela. Bright green/yellow cap, 2007 edition. Pours a pure black with a quickly deflating head. The aroma is mostly dark fruits, and old can of oil, and burnt brown sugar. The taste was quite interesting; very sweet brown sugar, coffee, caramel, burnt malt, some black cherry and a a burnt tree limb. Not really that hot at all, but there is a lingering alcohol there. Interesting for sure. I’m fairly divided about this beer, on one hand it’s full of flavor and is easy to drink, especially when considering the ABV. But I’ve had better for sure, overall a good beer I need to try again. Well crafted.

BOTTLE: Green lid, bought in May 08 not sure of age. Dark pour with small thin, quick tan head. Aroma is very strong coffee and chocolate with roastedness, and surprisingly not much alcohol aroma. Flavor is complex and strong, the alcohol definitely comes through but not overpowering at all considering the strength! Palate is soft, smooth and somewhat lingering with a very nice finish. Not the best stout but considering the incredible strength it’s definitely the most well balanced and still smooth.

I had this beer at the Savour craft beer festival in Washington, D.C. I poured dark and was surprisingly well balanced for the punch that it packs. This could be my new favorite DFH beer.

My first stout which happened to keep me away from IPA’s for awhile. Although extremely strong you would never notice. Strong flavors of coffee and cocoa.
