World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

Foam Rangers January meeting. Dark rich and roasty...with a very sweet taste as well. Smokey as well. Nice.

12 fl oz bottle, trade with ygtbsm94. Pours black with a dense chocolate brown head. Alcohol and light roasted malt aroma. Sweet malty, solid roasted. Smoked into and before the finish. Wineous fruity note too. Clearly a complex brew. Quite sweet finish, with a mild smoke note.

12oz bottle from 2007 and liquid solutions. Daaaaaamn. Pours almost pitch black with virtually no head. Nose was big on berry fruits such as blackberries, raspberries and blue berries. also notes of oak, alcohol, earth and a touch of hops. Mouth feel was oily but had a slightly dry finish. I can’t wait to get my hands on a few more bottles.

Bottle. [thank you, Yespr]
Pours absolutely pitch-black with a small creamy beige head. Aroma is vinious, sweet, lightly roasted and quite smoky. Very oily mouthfeel. Lightly smoky in the beginning, very sweet and sticky, fruity viniousness. Far too sweet and unbalanced for me.

Bottle. Totally pitch black colour. Alco smokish roasty dark fruit aroma with chocolate and coffee. Sticky well filling mouthfeel. The flavour is quite sweet with plenty of roasted malt, smoke, a quite vinous dark fruitiness, coffee and chocolate. Hides the alcohol well. Gracias al señor yespr.

[Courtesy of yespr, session @ yespr] Black with tiny brown head. Slightly smoked and sweet aroma with roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is very sweet with vinous, overripe fruit, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and smoky notes. Alcohol is very well hidden.

Sweet aroma of dark raisins, some chocolate and grain. very sweet, cloying. Did not notice the high ABV, of course the same can be said of coffee brandy.

Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, another great session @ yespr] Here we go, I have been looking forward to this one. This is the last of the three WWS. Large beige creamy head that lasted. Pitch black colour with excellent lacework. The initial sniff comes heavy berries, sweet chocolate, coffee, oat, grain, vinous. And strangely enough I pick up smoke notes, which I did not pick up in the other to. Over the palate warming alcoholic and malty sweet with roasted malt and dried fruit. Very full bodied with a soft carbonation and thick oily and alcoholic texture. Heavy sweet with light bitter flavour. Lingering dried fruit and liquorish finish.
