World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

2006. 12 oz bottle. Aroma is sweet and sugary, with a whiff of expensive chocolate and notes of pristine caramel, if such a thing exists. Pitch dark, little head; what you’d expect to see in your glass when you’re pouring such a massive stout. Flavor has some apples, roasted nuts and coffee, some trace elements of chocolate...delightful. Oily on the mouth, the ABV is hidden well, sharp bite at the end. Very enjoyable.

Thick and black with a small head. Aroma of white chocolate, coffee liquor, not overly complex and surprisingly not very alcoholic. Heavy, sweet, alcoholic body, pretty flat and cumbersome to drink really. Flavours of charred wood, chocolate, some softening stonefruits and tobacco. Worty, sweet as hell finish with a touch of alcohol. Interesting to try in a one dimensional, in your face stout on steriods kind of way, but I found it pretty hard to drink.

Jet black with a small brown head. Head remains threw out only as a ring around the glass. Sweet, fruity soy smell. Sweet, raisin-fruity, roasy oil soy, roasted oily mailt. 18% is extremely well hidden, you can smell and taste it, but not as much as you would think, you almost have to hunt it out. The strongest beer i’ve tasted that can taste like a beer. Dear i say easily drinkable! Utopias tastes like a cognac, 3bock tastes like a soy bombed porter. This tastes like a sweet, alcoholic stout.

Great beer. Strongest beer I ever had. This beer tastes way different than Storm King, Bells Expedition and Stone Russian Imperal Stout. It is very good but it just tastest way different than those others. It poured real thin. Bells pours like chocolate milk.

’03 bottle generously shared at a BA tasting
Pour is dark black with a very light head. Smell is sweet, doughy, roasty malt and some alcohol. Taste is a thick, rich, warm, roasty malt and rum soaked raisin like flavor. On the sweet side and very drinkable for the ABV. Nice, full mouthfeel, with appropriate carbonation. Slight warming in chest, but the alcohol works very well in this one and is non intrusive after 4-5 years. Awesome beer.

Bottle thanks to beachbum25, big thanks for getting me addicted to trading! I found my notes for this one from a few years ago, and I figured I’d pop this to compare. Pours black with a thin yet present brown head. Aroma of chocolate, molasses, caramel, smoke, and coffee. All of those are in the flavor, as well as tart fruit, sweet cherry, and chewing tobacco. very interesting combination for the mouthfeel here. Carbonated, yet chewy, but slick going down? Pretty cool. ABV is apparent, but doesn’t take away from this brew. 04 notes said mostly similar things, but mentioned a strong hop presence, along with less carbonation. I will always keep a few of these around.

12 oz bottle. Pours a medium thickness pitch black body with a small milk chocoalte brown head. Aroma that is syrupy sweet with notes of vanilla, chocolate and cherry with a touch of tobacco. Medium to full bodied with lively tight carbonation yet a silky smooth feel. Flavor of vanilla and tobacco with a touch of chocolate and a slight touch of alcohol, not much considering this is 18%. This is the Ving Rames of beer....dark, strong and smooth.
