"Vim and Vigor" is crossed out only on the 2002 release (23%), which is not rated under this listing

2004 - Bright yellow cap, no date stamp
2005 - Bright yellow cap, date stamp
2006 - Dark green cap, date stamp
2007 - Dark green cap, date stamp
2008 - Yellowish-green cap, date stamp
World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

12oz Bottle: Found this one for $9/bottle at Consumer’s a few days after a friendly beerbistro bartender told me it was his favourite DFH offering. I had no idea how difficult it could be to find, so I feel happy to have this opportunity. I should note - I cracked it open to celebrate the reuniting of my favourite old rock band, Extreme. Nuno rocks! Anyways.. pours pitch pitch black with very little head or any carbonation, simply a syrupy black pour into the snifter. Where to start with the aroma? Rich wine aroma, prunes, plums, berries, milk chocolate and molasses, and the promise of some caramel malts are just a few of what my mid-level discerning ability can pull out. The flavour.. wow.. provides all that it promised with some great hopping, all married together in one heavenly sip after another. Let this one warm, it only gets better as the mouthfeel becomes so silky and the yeastiness bursts forth with an almost dough-like after taste. Berries.. chocolate.. dough.. it’s like drinking a freaking pie, but I’d do it again without thinking. Good work, boys, good work.

12oz bottle: pitch black not a whole lot of head. aroma of roasted malt chocolate and hops. flavor has the same hop taste as their 90 and 120min IPAs but the malt end is something new chocolate and roasted flavor and somewhat sweet. great beer but i could tie it to their IPAs in a heatbeat. not saying the hops are over the top like an IPA just same hop flavor.

Because of the horrible interface, this is the third time I am rating this beer. It has a very dark body with a very small, but dark tan head. The aroma is full of chocolate, roasted coffee, and a huge burnt caramel scent. The flavor has a ton of that burnt caramel with a bit of hops.

VERY sweet, and I agree with the commercial description....much more like a port than a beer. Hints of espresso and molasses. An awesome beer, but my heart still belongs to the DFH 120 Min. IPA.

Bottle from mcbackus. Pours a vey thick, dark, black with a creamy brown head. Aroma is very sweet with chocolate, little roast, candy, and alchol. Mouthfeel is thick. Taste of sweet chocolate, sweet carmel, sweey licorice, sharp molasses, slight rasins, dates, and alchol. Finish is vey sweet and warm, hops a are faint. Preey good beer, a little sweet for me.

Wowza! 2005 Vintage bottle (drank on its second birthday!!) So many flavors going on that I can begin to describe it. So stop being cheap and shell out that 8 bucks or whatever it is.

12 oz.Bottle shared by Miko 2006 Release - Pours a dark black syrup with nearly no head, single dot lacings around the glass. Smells of licorice, coffee, chocolate, caramel, and heavily of alcohol. Taste is heavy of alcohol, chocolate, licorice, lots of maltiness. He paid $15 for this bottle and it reminds me a lot of Bell’s Expedition Stout - but it’s not near as sweet as the Ex - and a little more balanced. Damn good.

This beer was the thickest beer I have ever had. almost like syrup. It leaves a thick brown resudue on the glass. Overall a good strong beer.
