2008 - Yellowish-green cap, date stamp
World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

Great Imperial Stout. Black as night with a tan colored head. Very strong aroma and flavor. Surprisingly sweet and a bit fruity and an extremely roasted quality. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel. Strong notes of alcohol and coffee. Stout lovers rejoice, you will love this beer.

Bought this one own a whim from Beacon Hill Wine & Spirits in Boston. No idea this is 18%. Which by the way is the same alcohol content as my beloved Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. Pour an inky dark with tan head that disappears quickly. Nose has, what?!? booze, roasted malt, soy sauce. Taste is intense. Booze, lots of malt, roasted and caramized, you get a bit of an alcohol mouth burn in the aftertaste with malts too of course. Why brew a beer at 18%? Because they can. Damn good reason.

Bottle. Backlog. No label taken. Pours tar black. Nose/taste of port wine, strong alcohol soaked chocolate, vanilla, roast and coffee. Thick. Full body.

Bottle pour, black body, graham colored head. Aroma is raisin, roasty malt, booze. Taste is raisin, plum, molasses, palate is thick, moderate carbonation. Beer is quite sweet, how much barley did they use to get 18% and still leave thus much sugar?! Finish is at least a bit bitter. Booze is prominant. This pushes too sweet very close, just bitter enough to skirt that, barely.

I really like this. The nose has chocolate, plums, bourbon and yeast. The palate is the star with a little bit of carbonation, oak, chocolate, vanilla and nothing out of place. Glides out of the palate like a pro. Delicious beer.

On tap at Parry's. Wow. Big. Amazing stout. Poured out like 10w-30 thickness. Black as night. Thin, tan head. Smells of chocolate, coffee, and full of stouty goodness. Tastes of caramel, espresso, and pure excellence. One of my favorite new stouts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2014 release. Black pour with highly fizzy tan head. Aroma is chocolate and dark roasted malt with detectable booziness. Taste of chocolate and dark fruit followed by vanilla with a warming boozy finish. Pretty damn good.

Awesome. Pours pitch black with an an initial small head and zero lacing. nose is sweet syrup, molasses. Flavours show molasses, dark fruit, some roasted grain, some chocolate. Taste is heavy sweet, medium bitter. Creamy almost oily mouth with lively carbonation. Great beer.
