World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

Pours an opaque black with a small head, but its the darkest head I’ve seen. Nothing out of the ordinary in the flavor department for a stoud, with a heavy dose of chocolate and coffee, but these flavors have never been done better. The heavy abv makes itself known, but is never too harsh. Surprisingly drinkable for its intensity, it must be consumed to be believed.

Wow! What a beer, if you can call it that. Upon its pour I noted that that unlike some other imperials (Siberian Night and Old Rasputin) some light could get through. I assume this is because of the alcohol. Small head around the perimeter. Sweet grape or raisin taste, medium character. Very smooth and surprisingly easy to drink. Of course the alcohol is there in the background, but it doesn’t take anything away from this great stout.

12oz bottle, unmarked, 2005 (I think). Dark black center, slightly translucent; small, dark tan head. Aroma is huge: rum raisins and hints of chocolate and coffee; some burnt malts, slightly hot. Full, sweet mouthfeel: dried fruit, dark chocolate, molasses, hints of vanilla and charred malts. Concentrated and layered; light bitter hoppiness at the edges; no cloying sweetness; and still ridiculously drinkable somehow. A hint of piney bitterness at the finish.

Now this was the king had a slightly aged bottle at the brewpub, super dark black almost a little red if heald to the light. big malts in the nose, some alcohol. flavour is incredible especially with age it is almost port like. Lotsa dark fruits and alcohol is well hidden, also well done on the hop front its there but it does not overwhelm. Its scarey but i could session this beer.

oh man, what a stout!!! I had this once with an under developed taste for good beer and hated it. I gave it another go because I started drinking more stout and wow is all I have to say

Black color with almost no head. Notes of molasses and vanilla. Incredibly viscous, incredibly delicious.
