World Wide Stout is one of the world’s strongest dark beers. It is brewed using six different yeast strains over seven months and then aged for half a year. Dark, rich, roasty, and complex, World Wide Stout has more in common with a fine port than a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer (released in early winter with very limited availability).

CampesinoTino (777) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 27, 2013
Bottle of 2012 Vintage. Dark brownish/black in appearance with light cappuccino foam. Aroma is booze-soaked dark fruits, vanilla, molasses, licorice and espresso. The taste opens up with lots of roasted malt, dark chocolate and black cherry flavors followed by notes of charred oak, caramelized sugars, port wine and dates. Also a naturally aggressive bourbon-like alcohol presence throughout each sip. Somewhat of a thick, syrupy mouthfeel with soft carbonation and a hot, roasted finish. Overall, an ideal sipping beer for long winter nights.

AWISLguy (1382) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 26, 2014
Bottle from Steve’s in Fitchburg. 12/11/2013 bottle date, cellar aged 4 months. Pours cola colored with a tan head leaving streaky lacing. Aroma has rich roast, rum raisin, some grape and some molasses with a touch of chocolate. Taste is of initially soy sauce, chocolate, caramel, some teriyaki, definite alcohol, and some roast. Strong tangy alcohol presence. Rich, somewhat roasty, and alcoholly, with a tang of spices. Full bodied. Finishes tangy sweet, with some bitterness, but with alcohol. Take 7% out and the brew misses nothing, but stops the detraction the alcohol causes. 14.4

6y old bottle. Pitch black in the glass good head. A bit hard to smell, but a nice balanced sweet bitter tast. Roasted malts and chocolate. Like it. While warming the alcohol gets more in front.

12oz bottle, 2008 vintage, purchased ca. 2010, don’t remember where. Pours a deep, dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is malty, licorice, coffee, chocolate. Heavy on the palate with creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, toasty, coffee, licorice, raisin, a little boozy, maybe a hint of red wine, with a sweet, raisin finish. Still a little hot after 6 years, but still very nice.
