Thanks to jjfoodie for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a reddish-amber color with a white head. The aroma is lots of orange and other citrus along with caramel malt and pecan smoke. The flavor is quite a bit of smoke with some pecans, oranges and caramel malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

750ml bottle shared thanks to Eric. Poured a medium and clear orangish/copper color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of nuts, some smokiness, and some fruitiness (bananas). Tastes of the same lighter smokiness, bananas, nuts, and caramel.

750ml bottle pours a translucent vibrant reddish amber with a medium creamy/bubbly off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of lightly smoked malt, woody notes, some light spicing, nuts, some light fruity notes and that classic DFH character most likely from the yeast strain. Flavor of this really smooth smoked maltiness, nuts, hints of brown sugar, raisins, and again that classic DFH yeast profile. This is a nice session ale (even for 6% and having smoked malt).

750ml bottle via trade thanks to soulforpeanuts on BA. This sounded like a weird beer, a collaboration between DFH and the all-powerful Bros of BeerAdvocate. Apparently they wanted to call this Wrath of Pecan, but then some legal person came in and said they pecouldn’t call it that, so it became Wrath of Pecan’t. Cool story, Bros. Brilliant clear reddish-amber color with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma is really smoky with caramel, roast, chocolate, and pecan (or maybe pecan’t). A little sweet plantain as well. Flavor is decent. Smoke, roast, caramel, pecans, plantains, chocolate, and earth. Not bad, but not too well integrated. Medium-bodied and smooth with lasting smoke. Drier than I expected - this does not have DFH’s classic underattenuation. It is only a 6% beer I guess. Solid overall, a little weird, but pretty good. Others at the tasting panned it, but I thought it was a worthy effort.

750 ml bottle. A very interesting and unique beer, still not sure exactly how I’d describe it. Touch of unidentifiable aromas (probably the plantains, other fruits). Flavor is certainly a bit smokey. Until reading the bottle I had just naturally expected this beer to be 10% or more, so I was pleasantly surprised that this clocked in at just over 6%. Drinkable, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to have it unless it happened to be at one of the alehouses.

Brown amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, wood, vanilla, maple sugar and burnt toast. Taste of caramel malts, plantains, chocolate, nuts, banana bread, and a semi-dry finish.

Bottle thanks to jjfoodie. Pours with an amber body with an off-white ring. Aroma of smoke, pecan and caramel. Taste is leather, smokey, wood, caramel and pecan. Lively bubbles. and dry.

Bottle - Interesting as hell, but in the end nothing I’d seek out. Pours light amber with next to no head. Smells of plantains, with herbal and fruity notes and a bit of breadiness. Taste is lots of sweet malt, but not really any of the plantains from the taste. Kind of boring taste that’s dry on the finish, with some herbal notes and a bit of smoke. Medium and slick mouthfeel with a bit of light grittiness.

750ml... Thanks bob and holly. Pours a deep amber with modest off white. Aroma smokey and malt with a hint of sweetness. Mouthful is smokey with stony sweet malty backbone. Easy drinker especially as it warms.

Bottle shared at SL by andrew... thank bro! Nice red color, ok head. Average aroma of some malty notes with some light nuts. Taste is just average. Light smoke, light nuttiness, malty...not bad just nothing special about it. Got better as it warmed up. Light in texture, easy drinker... Overall glad I tried it but wouldnt buy it or go out of my way to get it. Thanks to andrew for sharing!
