Dogwood has made some great stuff. This wasn’t great but was decent. Hazy orange with a big off-white head. The aroma was sweet malt, yeast. Medium bodied, thin texture. The flavor was overwhelmed by an odd yeastiness.

Someone brought this to the three floyds release gathering so thanks to that person (s). Amber in color, nothing really remarkable/memorable about this. All my notes say is "13, avg, malty, blah blah." I should have taken better notes. Sorry.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Alcoholist (570) - Peoria, Illinois, USA - APR 30, 2005
Not the best beer by dogwood. Amber brown in colour with malty and spiced aroma and flavour. Alcohol and yeast a bit too pronounced for the style.

Tap at KP’s cellar. Poured a murky deep amber with a large light tan head. Aromas of malt, paper, and light spice. Flavor starts out malty then half way through becomes spicy and stays that way through finish.

Confusing as hell to decipher my smell (hey I rhymed). A little bit Belgian (yeast), a little bit American (malt), a little bit English (flower hops). Taste the same. A little bit of everything but not well-integrated. Nothing stands out--all muddled. Mild sour fruit aftertaste.

Deep burgundy color with little head. Alcohol comes through quickly. body a bit thin for what I expected. Slightly malty and dry on the finish.

Nice brownish color with smallish head. Taste has a rasberry sourness to go along with a mildly sweet maltiness. Weird kind of yeast taste. I’m not sure what they are going for with this style but I doublt it’s a brown. Tastes a bit like a dubbel but what do I know?
