2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 cb (810) - Roeland Park, Kansas, USA - FEB 23, 2004
I think that my sample was old, but since it was served at the brewery..here goes: Fairly hoppy for a brown ale, murky, no clear taste. Somehow it tasted very "compressed." The malty flush after initial lack of flavor was mixed with a compost pile flavor (earthy and old and a little mossy).

Deep brown color with a tan head. Had this with jgb9348, and his comments are similar to mine. Pretty average, some malt in the flavor, not much hops. Wouldn't want this again.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Suttree (3927) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 19, 2003
Cloudy brown, no head. Bready, grainy aroma. spicy and fairly full flavored, but a rather thin palate. Crisp, dry slightly woodsy finish.

this was watery and rather bland. it did have a weak nutty flavor but it's nothing i would scoop up again.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 thebaldwizard (1203) - Ohio, USA - MAY 4, 2007
Shared by KP at DLD. Light brown in color. Very faint aroma of malt and not much else. The flavor is thin. Some caramel malts and a very strange earthy flavor don’t mix well.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 madscotsman (147) - Fairview Heights, Illinois, USA - MAY 4, 2007
Poured brown in color with an off white head. Not much in the palate/flavor category, seemed light. Can taste a little of the carmel, but not much else
