COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dogwood Pale Ale is an English-style pale ale, well attenuated with fruity, estery overtones. A blending of three hop varieties in three separate additions provides a clean bitterness. Whole leaf Cascade hops are added directly into the fermentation tank called "dry-hopping" in order to achieve a floral aroma. It is naturally carbonated for a smooth finish.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2004 Cascade Hops abound...in the nose and on the tongue. The minimal ABV in the brew makes it lack the fullness and sweetness that would make it more complete. Still, the honey-like roundness on the palate is nice.

This is a completely decent pale, but I'm just generally unimpressed. Everything about it was kind of lackluster. Decent appearance with golden body and nice white head. Both the aroma and the flavor featured good hoppy notes, but just not enough aroma and flavor to satisfy me. Also, I may be crazy, but I noticed what seemed to be notes of grape flavor (?), which I thought was interesting, but not desirable. Overall, this is a fine pale ale, but there are others that I would much rather drink.

The taste is good; properly dry and hoppy. The aroma is purely hops, but is thin. Pale color with a bit of red.

This hazy light amber brew starts with a good head and a clean, fruity, aroma. The flavor is crisp, slightly acidic with a sweet finish. The hops add just a touch of dryness but are very subdued overall.

This pale ale has a honey like flavor but still has the traits of a pale ale. Very refreshing.

Honey colored translusent. Citrus aroma. Not as hoppy or sweet as I like in a Pale Ale. Might make an exceptable sessions beer. Not offensive, but not memorable either.

Poured orange with a thin white head which didn't last long. Has a light hop and malt aroma. Flavor is thin. Maybe not the thing to drink after a SN Celebration ALe.

A small sized white head with fine-small sized bubbles that completely dissipated. The body was carbonated, slightly hazy and it had a golden hue. The nose was hoppy, floral and some citrus notes. It had a light bitter and hoppy taste to it with a smooth, watery and thin mouthfeel and it was light bodied. The lacing was fair. A mild EPA, but very watery and rather boring.

This brew poured a medium sized head of wite colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a carbonated transparent dark yellow colored body and a fair lace. Its aroma was malty with hops and a mild orange note while the mouthfeel was tingly and finished with a medium strength hop bite. The flavor was mild for an EPA with a weak hop bite and a mild bitterness.
