COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dogwood Stout is a dry, Irish stout. We use a combination of roasted barley, flaked barley and chocolate malt to create a complex, textured maltiness with hints of coffee and chocolate with a rich fullness of body. We leave it unfiltered to add to its complexity. Its deep, dark mysterious color is topped off by a robust creamy head. It too is naturally carbonated. Dogwood Stout won a Silver Medal Winner at the 1997 World Beer Championships and was named one of top two microbrews in Atlanta by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Dogwood Stout is available in bottles and on tap anytime of the year.

Thanks to Chei for turning me on to this beer. Good choice of a dry stout great appearance. Not too over powering for taste. Will defietly drink this one again.

Brown hue with amber highlights producing a thin frothy tan head and some lace. The aroma hints of roasted burnt malts, coffee, mocha, and floral hops. The taste starts malty and hints of mocha. Undertones of bitterness runs throughout. The finish displays some coffee, smoky tones. This thin to medium-bodied brew has a gritty and soft mouthfeel. A good stout, quaffable.

Rather quickly dying tan head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate. Dark brown/black body. A full mouth feel but not heavy. Smooth and sweet with hints of coffee and chocolate. A light but long bitter finish. Excellent.

A little too much smoke for my taste, I could still taste it the day after. Nice aftertaste though.

A slight miscalculation made this my #100 - instead of Victory Storm King. Sweet smoky aroma. Creamy coffee flavour. Hints of fresh hops - nice!

Arome is lots of roasted malt, with some coffe notes. Taste is also very roasted, but nice on the tongue, some hops and chocolate, with a bitter finish... good brew

Creamy and lacy mocha head floats atop a saturated brown, strong-coffee-colored body. Enticing hazelnut, cappucino, and fudge brownies in the aroma. Divine dark rum and vanilla notes as well. Flavor is robust yet smooth, rich coffee or Kahlua, chocolate, and pecan praline. Satiny and mousselike on the tongue. Restrained bittersweet aftertaste (Lindt "Excellence" 70% Cocoa fine dark chocolate, if you've ever had it), and just a kiss of earthy hop. Extremely smooth and flavorful.
