2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, - JUL 21, 2004
Light golden colour. Medium character - typical Polish beer in every sense - light bready malts, slightly spicy overlay. Moderate body for style. What a way to close out the Polish experience - with that countryš most typical beer.

Can, 500 ml, extract of wort 10,5 %
Head is thick, snowy white, quite long lasting. Colour of body is strawy. Aroma of hops, flavour is chalky, milky, little bit wattery and honey. Very drinkable and smartly and neatly crafted pilsener as for Polish beer tradition.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Boletus (52) - POLAND - DEC 15, 2006
Can. Golden color, big head. A surprising aroma of pears and smoke. Slightly disappointing and unbalanced mouthfeel, resembles citrus flavored bottled water.

(Bottle) Pours golden. Grassy, spicy aroma with sweet malt and a metallic touch. Light bitter malty flavour. A bit watery mouthfeel. Buttery and fudgy hints. Light body.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Nekronos (2655) - Xalapa, MEXICO - MAY 28, 2006
Not bad, a little flavorless but nice bubbling. Somewhat sweet as Polish beers, but not too much.

I no longer have a tolerance for "scummy" heads: appearance = 1. Otherwise, golden-bodied and fairly flat. Intriguing aroma: perfumed, roasted, powdery & sweet with some deisel fumes to boot. Confusing flavor: sour malts with Plasticine and green vegetables... but I didn’t hate it. What a bizarre little beer.

Golden colour, head goes down fast, but some of it lasts till the end. Tastes slightly sour, but refreshing without being watery. Very good hops finish. Pretty nice.

Golden with firm white head.
Spicy aroma with notes of dry hops, wet cardboard, cinnamon. Malty sweet. Fresh.
Stony flavor with notes of mineral and iron. Graphite and a sweet maltiness.
Dry, astringent finish with grassy slowgrowing bitterness.

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Pilsener-golden, decent head. Quite fullbodied with a pronounced malty sweetness, not really any hoppiness though. Very easy to drink. 301103

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2005 Classic what? It’s drinkable, but nothing great. Golden with a short lived fluffy head, this has a sweet, doughy malt aroma with little hint of the hops one looks for in a pils. The sweetness carries through, grassy, with a slight smacking of hop bitterness in the finish.
