Retired? My bottle seemed awfully fresh, not that it’s anything special. This brew, new to this area, pours an almost glowing, urine yellow body with a slender white head. The aroma is malty, nutty, and topped with mild floral hops. Kind of oily palate. The flavor is is grainy, malty, and lightly bittered in the finish.

Bright yellow with the thinnest head around. Fresh aroma of perfumy hops, almost heather like. Heather and other weedy flowers are dominant on the palate. Too flowery in fact! Liquid Dandelion. This stuff is now imported by Stanley Stawski in Chicago.

Light in colour, decent head. Some hoppy smell, and a little malt. The taste was good, somewhat herbal, but not really...just tasted like the regular Dojlidy to me, but still a good beer! Bought in Hamtramack in Detroit, Michigan.

Reminiscing on a good Polish week - going to L’Eggs Inn and the Boyne Falls Polish Festival. The best the festival could do was Labbatt, though the polkas were rocking, but the Inn had this really great Herbowe that made me finally realize something. For a long time I’ve been against ’hoppy’ beers, but I now realize that I only object to Cascades, probably because of the American penchant for Cascading the heck out of everything. This is a hoppy beer, very much so, but the hops are spicy and subtle and delicious and the beer is truly lovely. Thanks to Dojlidy for setting me straight on hops, and to VENOM for letting me know about Lublins.

Mostly clear golden yellow. Thin, sticky white foam. Slow rising carbonation. Clean aroma, herbal hops and bread like malts. Crisp, sharp and full. Herbal, bitter hop aftertaste with a white bread malt base. Spicy alcohol taste. Clean, refreshing lagered taste. Typical, distinctive, Polish (Lublin?) hop flavor. Medium body. Finishes cleaner, with less body and not as herbally bitter. Another nice Polish Pils.

Also available at L’Eggs in Cross Village, Michigan - in fact, they had all the Dojlidy brews, but we could only have two, especially after experiencing the monstrous porter. The description of this onsite is misleading - it is certainly lighter than the porter, but I’d hardly caracterize it as a ’light’ brew. No, this thing is full of softer herbal hoppiness with sufficient pungency to let you know you’re drinking a decent pils. Nice mouthfeel, too.
