Bottle from Bruisin’ Ales - pours clear goldenness with tiny bubbles. Aroma is funky with notes of barnyard, the pear is kind of subdued. Taste is sweet and the palate is sticky and syrupy. Overall, solid.

pours clear very pale straw, medium-sized bubbles surfacing. fresh and sweet red apples, hint of pears minus perfumy esters, light dustiness, light woodiness, very hint of acidity. some sweetness. very soft carbonation, light to medium body - oily. nicely done perry, not overly complex but totally enjoyable!

Bottle: Poured a light clear yellow color perry. Aroma of medium sweet pear notes with well balanced sweetness level. Very refreshing drinks with limited complexity and not overly sweet or syrup tasting.

Bottle. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a moderate, but quickly disappearing head. Nose has a slight bit of pear in there, though the nose is very light. Taste is muddled, with some mixed light fruits. Not unpleasant, just hard to disentangle what’s going on.

(Rating #4446)

Pours a particularly pale light golden color. The head rises and falls in a similar way to most sparkling wines, the small bubbles in the glass, while numerous don’t ascend in the frantic & linear manor of many sparking wines or dry ciders.

The aroma is very florally sweet, plenty of pear and apple skin, plenty of just straight up pear. Due to the nature of my work, I end of catching a whiff of Ace Pear Cider about once or twice a week, that garbage smells like pear candy, sickeningly sweet, artificial, and pungent. This, while still smelling sweet, and still smelling like pears is a bit of an antithesis of that "Ace Pear" aroma. The aromatic character of freshly bit into pear flesh is abundant in the aroma of this Perry. There is a bit of off putting "Apple Scented Holiday Candle" smell to it, but that’s fairly well tied in, and only one aspect in a generally favorable olfactory perception of this Perry.

The flavor is far drier than the aroma lets on, but also plenty fruity. Red delicious apples & fancy pears are the primary players. Some floral notes are there, but more spicy notes prevail.

Very enjoyable.
