Appearance Bright, clear, light gold Aroma Crisp, fresh apples and apple blossoms with hints of honey, citrus (grapefruit and pomelo)

Palate Fresh, fruited and crisp along with a dash of residual sugar helping to soften the refreshing acidity of the apples

Bottle (750 ml), shared. Clear yellow with a small ring of white head, low retention, leaving little lacing. Aroma is soft with pear, green apples and light floral notes like so many similar ciders. Taste is kind of fresh because of the green apples and white grapes presence as well as mild to moderate acidity, there’s also pear notes, mild floral presence and very light sweetness notes. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Refreshing green apples finish. Not bad at all and drinkable for the abv.

(1809-230416)

Bottle sampled at Mondial 2015 with Linh, Ken and Nica. Pours a clear lighter whitish golden body with light fizz. Mouthfeel is thin, dry and carbonated with notes of apples, bitter fruit skins, white wine, spritzer and faint cheese.

750 ml bottle by LadySusan. Light gold, a bit sparkling. Light sweet and dry apple aroma, very floral. Very crisp dry apple taste, fairly tarte, nice fizzy sour aftertaste. Nice start to 2015!

pours hazy very pale yellow like its almost non carbonated counterpart, low and disappearing bubbly white cap. green apples, some perfumey pears, white grapes, hint of honey sweetness - less sweeter impression compared to its non sparkling declension, faint spices, bit of zest and pepper. average carbonation - tad prickly at first, light body, sparkling and semi-sweet finish. not necessarily an improved version of verger sud.
Earlier Rating: 7/16/2014 Total Score: 3.1
pours slightly hazy extra pale yellow with a bubbly and disappearing white cap. faint apples, white grapes and white wine, pear-ishy, champagne-like mineralness more than its soft fizziness, some sweetness - plain sugars, yeasty dryness, maybe a touch of acidity. prickly carbonation, light to medium body - oily, semi-sweet and fruity-slightly vinous/sparking white wine finish. ok.
