COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Ale is brewed in an English style with American Two-Row Pale, Caramel, and Black malts. We use Perle, Willamette, and Mount Hood hops from the Pacific Northwest and English Kent Golding Hops. We ferment our ale with a traditional American yeast in the German Kolsch style - warm, fast fermentation followed by a slow maturation. Dominion Ale is malty with an assertive hop character dominated by the Kent Golding. It is crystal clear amber colored with medium body. Widely available in bottles and on draft, often as a house brand name.

Pours a clear copper huew with a frothy white head. Poor lacing. Aromas of grass, caramel, and saaz hops. Medium bodied with a light hop bitterness. Flavors of caramel, honey, with a lingering finish.

On tap at the brewpub, RBSG 2006. A light amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of toffee and light notes of aroma hops, before a dry end sets in with a mixture of fruit, caramel, and hop notes, that last for a long time.

12 oz. bottle via trade with Ty5592 - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off white head that faded quickly. Faint spotty lacing. Has a light hop and caramel, bready malt aroma. Flavor is much of the same. Light to medium body. Not bad. Worth a try. Thanks Ty.

Tasted with thegreenrooster, vyvvy and beerdrenched. 120z bottle. Filtered and amber. Swirling off-white head. Buttery bready popcorn. But apparently fresh? Light bodied with a caramel bready bitter flavor. Not too good. Yeah, not too good at all!

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2008 Bottle. Orange pour with late forming white head. Interesting kinda smoked kinda burnt hops aroma to it? Not sure, Ive never burnt hops. Same thing in the flavor, kinda floral. Not too smooth, maybe a bit too carbonated. Overall, pretty disappointed.

Pour is orange with a white head. Aroma has a strange burnt caramel smell to it. Flavor is nto much better. Some malts very little hops and a bit watery. Meh.

Sampled with sneagrams3, thegreenrooster & Beerdrenched - thanks to Beerdrenched for supplying this this ale. Poured copper with a light white head. The aroma is buttery caramel malt. Medium body with moderate amount of soft carbonation. The taste matches the aroma, there just isn’t much there aside from the buttery malt. The finish is fairly sour and nasty. Overall I pretty bad beer.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2006 bottle purchased in DC. pours copper amber with a nice white head. toasted malt and light spicy (earthy hops). comes across as an english pale definately-sweet malt and earthy hops dominate. palate is crisp and medium. good balance and somewhat complex flavors here (at least moreso than it gets credit for). lots of dry toasted grains on the finish which actually dry it out quite nice. pretty good!
