COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Ale is brewed in an English style with American Two-Row Pale, Caramel, and Black malts. We use Perle, Willamette, and Mount Hood hops from the Pacific Northwest and English Kent Golding Hops. We ferment our ale with a traditional American yeast in the German Kolsch style - warm, fast fermentation followed by a slow maturation. Dominion Ale is malty with an assertive hop character dominated by the Kent Golding. It is crystal clear amber colored with medium body. Widely available in bottles and on draft, often as a house brand name.

Another impressive beer from Old Dominion. Strong flavorful malts, less bitterness and hoppy character than the Tuppers Hop pocket in my opinion. Very enjoyable ale.

An excellent Ale. I truly enjoyed the malts and hops of this brew.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2004 Eh, some malts and decent hops, but really lacking something in the mouthfeel category. Somewhat unpleasantly bitter, not any citric or fruity hops, just a bit of undefined vaguely woody bitterness. Decent, but loads of better APAs out there.

Good American Pale Ale, with fair malts and good hop bitterness and flavor. Nothing to get all hot and bothered about, but a nice session ale.

Had to correct this entry due to spelling errors. Unfortunately I didn’t proofread! This beer has nearly as much hop character as Tupper’s Hop Pocket, which is contract brewed at the same brewery. It lacks a bit in bitterness and malt character, but is a top notch APA.

Good beer, drinkable and a good balnce of malts and hops. Not my favorite from Old Dom, but good none the less.
