2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle - according to the label "Brewed and Bottled by Old Dominion Brewing Co Ltd, Dover, DE" - so strange that itís not listed under them. Pours a dull amber with a trace of white head; straightforward malty aroma and flavour with some peppery caramel adding to the complexity; the finish is dry with little sign of any hops, certainly no trace of Goldings as I know them.

Clear amber with a small head... english hop aroma and english malt... dryish yet sweet finish, a touch of an unpleasant finish, would go well with soft candy... malts dominate the flavor, not sweet til the finish, not my speed, a touch creamy... kind of wish amber ales would be split into american hoppy amber ales and more english maltier ales...

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft. Pours a dark copper with a medium whitish head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malty with some floral hops. Rather too much sour skunkiness -- not sure if thatís intentional. Lower-end craft brew, but not bad.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear copper hued amber with a thin white head. Nice biscuit and malt profile, a touch of toast. Medium bodied, velvety. Caramel flavors, a bit sweet with some biscuit and grain. Finishes up with some dry grainy bitterness.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
(12 ounce bottle - pint glass) Aroma is malty. Taste is a balance between malt and hops leaning toward the malty side. Mouthfeel in my opinion has a perfect amount of carbonation. Has a short lightly hoppy bitter finish. Overall it makes a good session beer.

another nice pale ale from old dominion brewing co. not as hoppy as most american micro brews (surprise), but still very hoppy and tasty.

A smooth experience overall, but it doesnít stand out. Itís somewhat bland, although non-offensive.
