COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Ale is brewed in an English style with American Two-Row Pale, Caramel, and Black malts. We use Perle, Willamette, and Mount Hood hops from the Pacific Northwest and English Kent Golding Hops. We ferment our ale with a traditional American yeast in the German Kolsch style - warm, fast fermentation followed by a slow maturation. Dominion Ale is malty with an assertive hop character dominated by the Kent Golding. It is crystal clear amber colored with medium body. Widely available in bottles and on draft, often as a house brand name.

On tap at Harry’s Tap Room (Dulles Airport, VA). Hazy amber body with an average off-white foamy/creamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with nutty hints. Taste is slightly dominated by hoppy flavors. It carries herbal and woody notes, and ends with a decent bitter/grainy finish. Not bad.

12oz bottle: pours a clear bright copper amber with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Has a lightly sweet toasted caramel malty nose with some grassy English hops. Starts with decent fullness and light caramel malty sweetness with a good balance of resiny bittering hops before a drier bittersweet finish. Pretty smooth and drinkable, but nothing out of the ordinary.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4035) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 25, 2012
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-copper color with little floaters and a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that faded quickly and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet toasted caramel, light pine, grapefruit and a bit of Pez candies. The flavor was bitter and semi-sweet with light pine an grapefruit and hints of Pez, caramel and nut. Short caramel and fruit finish. Medium body. Pleasant.

Translucent copper with a thin head. The aroma and flavor are both very sweet/malty. There is some slight citrus in the finish, but pretty thin and unmemorable overall.

Imperial pint at Tidewaters in Washington Dulles airport. Pours a copper color with a whispy white head. Aroma is a little metallic with grassy notes, wood light corny malts. Palate is on the lighter side. Decent hoppiness, considering but it does carry that metallic flavor. Finish is a little fruity with a dash of butter. Meh.
