COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Ale is brewed in an English style with American Two-Row Pale, Caramel, and Black malts. We use Perle, Willamette, and Mount Hood hops from the Pacific Northwest and English Kent Golding Hops. We ferment our ale with a traditional American yeast in the German Kolsch style - warm, fast fermentation followed by a slow maturation. Dominion Ale is malty with an assertive hop character dominated by the Kent Golding. It is crystal clear amber colored with medium body. Widely available in bottles and on draft, often as a house brand name.

Decent smell, good ale colour. Bad and bitter taste! Too bad, as I’m from Virginia, but there are plenty of other good Dominion beers!

Pour is orange with a white head. Aroma has a strange burnt caramel smell to it. Flavor is nto much better. Some malts very little hops and a bit watery. Meh.

This basically bites. Unneccesarily sweet and otherwise bland, undercarbonated, hop challenged brew that I wouldn’t have liked much better even if it had been two bucks less for a sixer. Is this an amber or and English? Can’t quite decide. I can tell you I certainly won’t buy this again. Disappointing.

Tasted with thegreenrooster, vyvvy and beerdrenched. 120z bottle. Filtered and amber. Swirling off-white head. Buttery bready popcorn. But apparently fresh? Light bodied with a caramel bready bitter flavor. Not too good. Yeah, not too good at all!

12oz bottle @ 1st Annual RocketCity Brewfest, Huntsville, AL. Clear golden. Aroma of egg salad. Flavor is musty munich malts. Blah. Don’t like it. 08 may 09

Bierkrug (1666) - Idar-Oberstein (In East Africa), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - SEP 22, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2011 Typical ice cream parlor flavored brewery stuff. Almost no head, little in the way of natural or unnatural carbonation. Dark almost cloudy amber. Sweet and sticky, lacks much substance other than the sweet sticky after taste that turns coppery. Not recommened.
