morty99 (371), Maryland, USA Oct 10, 2002 Not exactly amber in appearance for an amber ale. Head disappeared rather quickly. Pleasant sweetness in the malt, somewhat citrusy, but just not enough hop presence to suit me. Finished a bit watery and thin.
BeerandBlues2 (2623), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Nov 30, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear dark orange with a small, fizzy, off-white head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, grain, meal), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, grass), average yeast (sweat, musty) with notes of pear, pineapple, and vinegar. Light bodied, mineral texture, soft carbonation, and a metallic finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. f351c4v (244), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 29, 2008 Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. Wet malt and light hop aroma. Mild hop character balanced by a its malty body. Average kcmo19 (71), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Nov 20, 2008 A strong aroma of oranges and also a strong taste of citrus. Very easy to drink, and I thought it was a solid beer. fiulijn (6010), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Oct 18, 2008 Draught at Old Dominion Brewhouse, Washington DC
Deep blond color. It’s brewed without flaws and without character. The aroma is very light, the flavor has just some malt and some more caramel showing at the end. RSRIZZO (1078), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Oct 7, 2008 12 oz bottle courtesy of Headbanger. Aroma is a sour malt scent with tones of citrus. Color is a hazy amber with very good carbonation and an almost out of control head. When I poured it I got 2/3 of a glass of foam. Taste is fizzy, light and bitter. Starting with lighter medium body it foams up in your mouth and goes down fizzy. Finish is a lemon and malt taste backed by a full bitterness. After taste is dry with some citrus. I don’t like the fizzy carbonation in this brew, it seems it keep the flavor from coming though.
