Draft at Ramshead. Just terrible. Bad example of a BP. No hops and a soapy taste. Hate OD but that Gigis the other day wasn’t this bad.

Draft. Clear golden color, medium white head. Aroma of cardboard and lemon. Taste is similar. Light body. Holy cow, what a diffence compared to the Bohemian pils I just had at Lost Rhino!

I just was hoping a beer with a name like this would be a welcomed addition to my ratings when so close to winter. Looks like an almost clearer hefe. Smell is clean and fairly citrusy with a tad of sharp hop olfactory. OOOOOOOh, quite initially bitter on the buds. However, it does have pretty good sizzle. Yes, the bitterness makes me think this perhaps is a strong pilsner that borders on wanting to be a mild ipa. Pretty long bitter finish, like an astringent ipa, maybe. Bohemian? not sure. It seems the bo pilsners of past would be much more mild than this stuff. Not quite what I was expecting.

Bottle. Super light, moderately active and a nice bright-white head. The initial impression is of a quite fruity brew ... my first thought was tropical fruit. Maybe a unintentional subliminal result of the name. As I drink, I realize it’s really more of a fruity hoppiness, but it never does come off quite right. Enjoyable enough, but I think it didn’t pull off what they wanted to here ...(#4256, 9/13/2011)

Pours a clear yellow golden pour with with dense billowing seafoam white head. Pleasantly surprised with just how hoppy this is. Sweet fresh crisp nose with distinclty noble bitter hop flavor. Not as good as prima pils, but pretty damn tasty!

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours hazy deep golden with small white head. Little lacing, low/medium carbonation, and medium body. Taste is light malt and finishes with bitter hops. Not that great.

Whole Foods Market, DC sixer ($6): Pours golden color without much in the way of head. Aroma is of light malt and light hops, smells kind of watered down. Taste is bitter throughout, but has a kind of soapy taste underneath it and only when the soapy taste recedes does the bread come out, leaving a sort of bitter, bready finish. It’s drinkable enough, but it sure ain’t that great.

VAYankee (280) - Virginia, USA - JUL 4, 2011
Clear, effervescent golden body with a white head. Mild aroma with a including a little sweetness, straw, and floral hops. Floral hops and a little sweet malt taste followed by a slightly metallic and modestly bitter aftertaste.
