COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Don’t be fooled by Candi’s golden appearance. This Belgian Tripel may taste of sugar and spice, but her beguiling introduction is far from nice, flirting with a covert 9.5% ABV. Saaz and Halltertau hops provide a clean, floral aroma with minimal hop bitterness and the soft sweetness of apricot and pear lingers nicely against a dry finish.

12oz bottle. Poured a hazy dark orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was alcohol, sweet honey notes. Light herbal notes. Belgian yeast, some coriander notes. Flavor was herbal, sweet booze, candi sugar. I really hoped that this one would be really good, but it was just way too boozy and way too sweet. Very disappointing.

She pours clear and light coppery amber cour. It smells of a belgian beauty with a nice floral whiskey note amongst some bread and yeast and a hint of grandma’s kitchen rack. On the palate it is as I remember my grandad smelling. Nutmeg and syrup and whiskey. Kinda let’s a little bit of the flavour dwindle away. Fast. Sort of Muted and boozy. Not the worst but not the better representation of the style.p
