Almost sweet honey flavor with a finish of cinnamon spice. The hop flavor is much later after swallowing.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This imperial IPA has large coarse foam as long-lasting. The aroma is well hidden under the foam layer, but a little pine needles sticking through as the main theme. The taste is slightly malty with fruity notes of raisin. Then comes a little woody richness which tastes a little delicate along the wet oak, or at least as I imagine wet oak would taste. Slightly bitter orange peel with pine needles characterize the overall impression and at the end you will find grapefruit and citrus. The alcohol shows its face in the absolute final and characterize this IIPA slightly negatively. The delicate tones of orange, pine needles and wood was quite exciting, but the acute alcohol lows the long aftertaste that should be present in this IIPA. A little sin, for it is certainly an IIPA with good rates, I just think it is a little too heavy alcohol toward the end.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This was poured into a tulip glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds. Clingy lacing places itself in a messy fashion around the glass.
The smell starts off with a sharp citrus bitter to semi-sweet caramel backup. Slightly resinous.
The taste was moderately bitter with a fair sweetness around it. The aftertaste was quick dry resin leading into a semi-dry tobacco finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping to sessionable quality about it. The carbonation seemed to be good to the style as the bitterness covers the harshness part on my tongue.
Overall, it’s a dry DIPA with a tobacco edge to the taste. I don’t mind it. Probably have again.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a nice amber color with decent head retention and great lacing. Not too much of an aroma here. Kind of has an aroma of menthol and spice. Tastes a bit spicy while still offering the bitter notes that an ipa is accustomed to.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dirty and earthy, light malt with a bitter grapefruit zest and hops that continues through the finish. Not bad, but not a standout.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Deep copper amber color, minimal head yet sticky lacing and layers.
Nice sweet floral nose.
Alcohol/bourbon, long lingering finish.
I believe the second dry hopping is what makes this beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Clear copper with a medium sized white head. White bread, citrus, light white cheese and sharp alcohol in the nose. Pretty much the same in the flavour. Could do with more aroma hops as the flavours are muted and the alcohol shines though. Feels ok in the mouth with soft carbonation and an ok balance between sweet and bitter.
