3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
THOUGHTS: Not bad, but a little cloying. A little simplistic, really. Hid alcohol incredibly well.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a hazy, light to medium, brownish orange with an average, off-white head that mostly diminished and left excellent lacing. The aroma was little weak compared to the flavor, but contained moderate molasses and caramel; moderate orangey citrus hops; honey; brown sugar; and slight alcohol. The initial flavor was heavily sweet and lightly bitter; while the finish was harshly sweet and moderately bitter. There was caramel, brown sugar, citrus (mostly orange) and pine hops, maple syrup, resinous hops, alcohol, and honey. The medium to full body was fairly oily with somewhat soft carbonation that was still tingly and a lightly alcoholic finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From notes: Poured clear amber with a touch of orange and a 1-finger bone-colored head. Aroma of piney hops, but not as strong as most other DIPA’s I’ve had. Medium body with a moderate oily thickness and a mild astringency in the finish. Flavor of citrusy and piney hops.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark orange with a rocky two fingered head that produced some very nice lacing. Aromas of orange peel, grapefruit, and dry pine. Taste is a touch sweet malt with a lingering, yet smooth bitter hop finish. The alcohol adds a certain degree of dryness but otherwise is masked superbly. A nice full body and medium carbonation suit this IPA well. Overall I liked this one more than I expected I would. Although there is a little less hop presence here than in most DIPAs, I still found it to be a very nice experience drinking it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From a bottle dated May 2013. Hazy light orange, almost no head. Grapefruit and floral notes. Heavy bitterness a little boozy with finish of over ripe grapefruit... A bit unbalanced for me... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle poured. Not what i had imagined it would taste like. Actually a lot more sweet than I expected and alcohol was well masked. Wife hated it

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
2nd September 2013
Bright clear amber beer, good white head. Palate is smooth and slightly dry. Light fine carbonation. Light smooth malt. Bitter resinous hops that do not have much fruit other than a touch of marmalade. Finishes smooth with a long bitter linger. Needs more hop fruits for a US DIPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Poured a pretty clear amber color with a medium sized, white head. Aroma was notes of citrus hops, dankness, and some nice malt notes. Touch of fruit in there too. Flavor was bitter hops, resin notes, some tropical fruit characteristics with a nice malt backing. Alcohol is there, but more masked than I expected it would be.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Pours a clear light copper color with a two finger off-white head with good retention and decent lacing. Aroma is highly floral and grassy with a heavy dose of pine. Tastes of a hop bomb with big citrus zest, warming alcohol, some light malty sweetness. Medium body, moderate carbonation.
