UPDATED: AUG 20, 2014 Draft at the brewery. Small glass shows orange brown color, minimal off-white head. Hoppy aroma of pine, citrus and grassy notes. Taste brings out sweet caramal malt, light citrus hop leans grapefruit to me. Not really hoppy but not bad. Decent.

Pailhead (4783) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - SEP 4, 2012
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate grass, light pine, caramel, and a touch of fruit. It pours a transparent amber with a two finger orange tinged off-white head with excellent retention. Thereís lots of soapy lacing left behind on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate caramel with a touch of fruit. The finish has light-moderate grass, light grain, and a touch of pine. Itís medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, an easy drinking malty Pale Ale.

Bottle at home - 08/06/12. Slightly hazed orange/copper colour with a medium cream coloured head. Sweet malt nose, diacetyl whiff, sugar, grain. Sweet malt taste allied to a little fruit flavour and a very faint apperance of something citrusy! Medium bodied with a decent/moderate level of carbonation.

Bottle, this pale ale had a hazy red and burnt orange pour with light brown / honey colors at the sides of the glass, the pour made a one to two finger off-white to light tan head that eventually receded to a thin cover, the glass was filled with carbonation, this brew left lots of spots and rings of lacing on the glass, there were aromas of citrus and orange fruit hops, caramel, toasted malt, and faint berry, the flavors were toasted malt, citrus and grass hop bitterness, caramel, there was some hop bitterness after the finish, the mouth feel was less than medium and felt very creamy on the palate, a tasty pale ale with a nice mouth feel. -- rated via Intergalatic Planetary iPhone

Unclean off metallic flavors. Where are the hops?! Weak effort for something called Hop Mountain.
