2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pretty dull really. Sturdy malt backbone indeed. So much so i don’t get much hop till right at the end. Not really a mountain then. It’s not bad or anything, but surely these days...

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle sampled at Great Grog. Slightly hazy dark copper/orange, thin white head. Very "American" nose - caramel, pine, slight alcohol warmth, spicy lemony Cascade (?) character. Slight sweetness, fairly dry, grapefruit, pine resin, soft bitter finish. Pleasant and drinkable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355ml bottle. Filmy orangey golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Hoppy aroma has notes of grapefruit and tangerine, caramel malty background. Taste is citrusy, bitter hoppy, near the finish minimally soapy and grassy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
[keg at Jake’s Place, Edinburgh] Pours a hazy deep amber, thin white head. Aroma is light citrus, pine. Decent sipper – plenty of pine comes over on the flavour, finish is bitter lemon and grapefruit. Certainly hides the alcohol well enough

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from bottle into pint glass. Pours a hazy deep amber color with a fine head that dissapates to a very thin lacing. Not a strong aroma, that taste a little more malty than hoppy. Thought this was a decent drinkable beer.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle that was 48 weeks old so that's an issue. Not much aroma but what there is is more malt than hop. Red oak color amber ish. Decent lacing and nice finish. I'd say a good beer to get accustomed to IPAs.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pour a hazy amber. Nose almost non existent, faint pine hop. Flavor some evergreen hop and faint tropical fruit. Strong bitterness with a hint of spice. The overwhelming flavor however is malt. Aftertaste more malt than hop.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Caramel malt aroma, with a touch of earthy hops. Pours a clear dark amber, with a full white head. Citrus hop bite to start with, balanced well against the malt backbone. Lingering hop presence for the finish. Not a bad easy drinking pale ale.
