3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled 6/6/2012. Pours hazy orange copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange peel, herbal, floral, caramel, mango, bread, toast, and light piney spiciness. Nice aromas with good strength and balance. Taste of orange zest, grapefruit, herbal, caramel, bread, floral, pine, and light herbal spiciness. Fair amount of citrus bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, floral, bread, herbal, pine, caramel, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a bit. Nice complexity of hop flavors; with a great bitterness/sweetness balance. Zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy, lightly sticky, and lightly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale ale. Very good flavor balance, and very smooth to drink. Very enjoyable offering; exceeded my expectations given the bottle dating.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from @cotteridgewines why am I drawn to beers that have hop in the name or label this has both! Pour dark amber with small off white head. Citrus, piney hops one the aroma. Can’t taste the hops as much as the smell, more sweet malts in the foreground. Nice ale.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the brewery. Small glass shows orange brown color, minimal off-white head. Hoppy aroma of pine, citrus and grassy notes. Taste brings out sweet caramal malt, light citrus hop leans grapefruit to me. Not really hoppy but not bad. Decent.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate grass, light pine, caramel, and a touch of fruit. It pours a transparent amber with a two finger orange tinged off-white head with excellent retention. There’s lots of soapy lacing left behind on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate caramel with a touch of fruit. The finish has light-moderate grass, light grain, and a touch of pine. It’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, an easy drinking malty Pale Ale.
