COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop lovers, this is the beer for you. Four different styles of American hops are artfully staggered against a sturdy malt backbone to create a unique, drinkable and balanced Pale Ale.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2011 Sample bottle from Total Wine and More. This bottle poured a cloudy amber. Upon opening the cap the ale frothed out of the bottle. I wonder if this bottle came from a broken case. The balance of the four hop styles is nice but not distinguishable. The normal bitter taste was not as strong as most APAs. The smooth finish was a good feature. had another March 2011 from Total Wine and Beer. Some citrus and and spruce flavors. Keep the rating.

Poured from a firkin and server at nearly room temperature at the R2Hop2 beer and music festival. This beer has a tremendous hop nose with piney and citrusy undertones. The beer is a dark amber in color. Being a hophead, this is a fantastic tasting beer, and would be very sessionable. highly recommend trying this when served from a firkin if the opportunity ever arises.

On tap. Dark amber with a medium sized creamy head. Substantial lacing. The scent is piney and earth. The taste is very hoppy with a lingering pine resin after-taste. A decent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Pours orange with a long lasting, white head. Aroma is of orange fruit, citrus hops and hints of caramel. Body is medium and tangy. Flavors are a lot of citrus hops, orange, some caramel and biscuit malt. Finish is long and hoppy. I liked that orange taste.

Dorwart (2161) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - APR 28, 2012
Decent sized off-white head of fine bubbles. Mild hops and malts in the aroma along with a little bit of garbage or rotting grass as the brew warms. Very strange. Color is a rather unattractive hazy medium brown. Moderate bitterness with some sweet malts, tea leaves, herbs and roasted grains. Finishes kind of salty and cloying malts and bitterness. Not a brew I would seek out again.

Bottle. Pours a dark opaque copper color with a small off white head. Nose is dry piney hops, some caramel and honey. Palate is sticky and stingy, leaves a light coat on tongue. Flavors of apricots, pine, biscuits.

12 oz. bottle from a shaker. Light amber color with a white head. Very citrusy aroma. Taste has a nice bit of citrus character and a strong malty backbone. Nice, sessionable beer.

12oz bottle pours a hazy amber with a thin head. Aromas of some slight grass flural aromas and some carmel toffee malt. Flavor is balanced a bit of bitter hop and some malt.

Bottle. Rich amber color, foamy head that lasts. Balanced pale with plenty of bitter taste and hop aroma. Body may be a little thin but otherwise a pretty well rounded brew for this style.

On tap at Dulles Airport. Clear bright copper color with a small white head. Malty, malty, malty aroma with caramel and bread. Caramel and toast flavor with a slight earthy note. Mild bitterness. Medium-light-bodied with medium-low carbonation. Not terrible, but where are the hops, Hop Mountain? Seriously, don’t use "hop" in the name if the beer is less hoppy than Sam Adams Boston Lager (seriously, I had them side-by-side).

Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Light citric hoppy aroma with some light sweetness. The flavor has flowery dirty hops and a light grainy sweetness. Decent.
