COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Lager is brewed using four types of malted barley: Two-Row Pale Brewer’s malt, Munich, Carapils, and Caramel. The bittering hops are Perle and Hallertau from the Yakima Valley in Washington State. The aromatic hops are domestic Tettnang, German Hallertau Hersbrucker, and Czech Saaz. This combination of malt and hops, along with a classic lager yeast from Germany, and the long, low-temperature lagering process results in a mild, smooth, flavorful, complex beer that is a delight to drink.

Pours light golden into the glass, with a light sudsy head that leaves trace soapy lace. Lots of sour, doughy notes to the nose with hints of silage grains. Similar doughy malts predominate, with biscuit hops to finish the pull. Clean mouthfeel, crisp and goes down smooth. Not extremely complex, but a nice take on the Helles style. A decent session brew... doesn’t get old and not too heavy.

The aroma is like a sour mash made with corn and herbal hops. The appearance is cloudy gold with a small but nice head. The flavor is like the aroma but not quite as sour. The palate is smooth and the finish malty with pepper and citrus notes. Overall I like it but it has a strange pickle sourness to the aroma.

MIld, malty aroma. Fairly sweet at the start, but turns into a more acidic brew, with nice hops in the finish. A very good beer of its kind.

Bottle, and what a lager could taste like, with some malt aroma, hige buttery and caranel notes, not too much carbonation, light golden color and clean finish. I usualy prefer ales but this is good.

Pours a very light gold in color with absolutely no head whatsoever. Smell is very vegetal and corn like. Taste is vey lager like emphasing in corn. Pleny of carbonation and ass to go around. Not good.

Blond color, big head. Light malt aroma, maybe some more in the flavor, balanced but nothing special.

Bottle courtesy of sloth. Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Smells grassy with some earthy hints. Tastes lightly citrussy with a splash of pepper on the finish.

Bierkrug (1643) - Idar-Oberstein (In Senegal), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - SEP 22, 2008
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2011 On tap in the USA. Typical ice cream parlor flavored brewery stuff. Hoppy smell and flavor, fades quickly, has a corn flavor.
