COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Lager is brewed using four types of malted barley: Two-Row Pale Brewer’s malt, Munich, Carapils, and Caramel. The bittering hops are Perle and Hallertau from the Yakima Valley in Washington State. The aromatic hops are domestic Tettnang, German Hallertau Hersbrucker, and Czech Saaz. This combination of malt and hops, along with a classic lager yeast from Germany, and the long, low-temperature lagering process results in a mild, smooth, flavorful, complex beer that is a delight to drink.

Bottle at Mellow Mushroom Savannah. Hazy straw color, little head. Yeasty stale sweet aroma. Low carbonation but fizzy mouthfeel. Lemony tartness. Sweet-sour and acidic as if not fresh.

Draft at Green Leafe, Williamsburg VA. This is hazy orange with a thin veil of foam. Lightly hoppy, but not much of a bite. Smooth and evenly malty, mostly. This is a well done, light lager, an awesome beer if you’re looking for a good session lager! (#2696, 2/12/2007)

Pours a golden color with a small white head. Malty, beerish, very slightly hoppy aroma. Very bready with some hop bitterness. I am trying to like lagers, but they just don't blow me away like ales do. This does go down smooth. Thanks hopscotch.

Crisp, spicy, floral hop aroma with an oily, buttery diacetyl character that, while not pronounced, is out of place for the style. Clear, burnished golden-yellow with a light cover of large-bubbled bright white head. Crisp, toasty malt flavour balances nicely with floral, grassy hops and a light bitterness with a slight buttery undertone. Medium-light body with fairly effervescent, medium carbonation. Bottled on 2-Dec-04, (trade - Feb. 2005), sampled with MartinT, Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere. Thanks, hopscotch!

Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o garthicus. Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper with a small diminishing white head. Aroma’s grainy and a bit bready along with caramel malt. Slightly watery flavour, some hops in there, grain, caramel malt and a bit vegetal. Average bodied. Not bad, it’s O.K.

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a thin beige head. Sweet and malty with some strong caramel. Medium bodied, not a lot going on flavorwise. Some malt and a bit of grain. Long bitter finish with a bit of a metallic note.

Bottle in VA. Bright golden yellow with a fizzy white head. Sweet grain and vanilla aroma and taste with some nice milky oat notes and a clean finish. Quite good.

Pours a translucent yellow with a medium foamy white head. Nose is hops and some malt. This may be heresy, but it almost has a Belgian-ish sweetness to it. The taste seems rather bland. Hops, some malts and grains. Maybe a slight hint of fruit, also. The finish is almost nonexistent. I can taste almost nothing. I can see this being very refreshing in the summer and very drinkable but it is just very avergae and plain.

Murky, dark golden color. White sticky head with clingy lacing. Chemical-like aroma. Flavor is slightly bready with some trailing yeastiness. Overall, slightly sour. Thick mouthfeel but it gets lost with a very artificial, pasty aftertaste. Overall, not a bad lager but leaves you feeling if something is missing. Needs work.
