Super dark coffee bean, almost peppery smell. Very smooth, a little bitter. Super dark in appearance. Good.

Sample at a beer event. Bottle. Opaque brown pour with slight tan head. Not much aroma. Flavor of a mild espresso. Not much else going on. Smooth finish. Too clean and slippery.

Black pour with no head and no lacing .... looks like used motor oil basically .... aroma of fresh coffee grinds and espresso with a light roasted flavor as well ..... taste is roasted and of light chocolate with a coffee and some light sweet caramel malt to it .... mouthfeel is thick, oily and and slick with a dry roasted finish .... flat carbonation and boring ... abv hidden well ... kind of a boring brew

12 oz bottle. The pour is promising in a dark brown with a mocha colored head. The lace is hardly there, but I don't take that to heart. The aroma is a mix of light coffee and coffee cake. Somewhat bland. The taste is equally as bland, maybe offering a slight hint of roast or chocolate. The mouth feel is really thin, and it's not an awful stout, but not what I'd like to see ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark dark dark. Aroma of stale coffee. Quasi stale coffee taste too. Solid brew. Not terrible but not spectacular either.

Pours pitch black, literally cannot see light through any of this beer, with a dark mocha head. Smells of malts, coffee and mostly like a porter to be honest. It taste beautiful, so much coffee right off the bat and then a bit of dark chocolate bitterness. This is a delicious beer

Coffee, charcoal, and raisin aroma. Black, medium tan head. Dark roast coffee, plum skin at midpalate. Charcoal finish, thin body. Quite good and one of Dominion’s best.

12 oz bottle courtesy of a co-worker. Thanks Ian! Pours a jet black with a tan-colored head. Looks nice. Aroma is definitely espresso, a little chocolate and slight spice or pepper too. Interesting. Taste is similar with a burnt coffee/bitter lasting finish. Body is slightly thicker than medium, texture is a bit thick and creamy. Average carbonation. A great beer to have after a hard day. This bottle was chilled from room temp a couple of times so I am definitely interested in having one fresh. This one’s from April.
