3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown color with a one finger tan head. Aroma has big coffee and bitter dark chocolate along with roasted malt. Taste opens with some light roasted barley and chocolate. Coffee builds up on the finish and aftertaste, backed by some licorice, nuttiness, char, and even a touch of piney hops. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is light coffee and vanilla. Taste is roasted coffee, a little chocolate with a medium malt body. Simple stout that lacks the kick but still real good.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared by a friend. Darkest brown pour with a medium beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and malt. Malty and chocolatey flavor with a bitter coffee finish. Pretty straightforward, but not bad.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Good balance of coffee smell, bitterness and alcohol, taste however somewhat sour coffee, when comparing with other stout.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A decent stout with good coffee flavor. It is well balanced considering its 9% ABV. Would probably be better right from the source instead of out of the bottle. Head was lacking and went away quickly. Color was dark and deep.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance: Pours black with a foamy khaki head that subsides to a thin cap.
Aroma: Prepared coffee with sugar, medium roasted dark malt and slight herbal hop.
Taste: Old coffee, toasted and roasted malts, finishes roasty and ashy.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied average carbonation.
Overall: This is one of those coffee beers that would be best drank fresh as possible and or at the source. It has a lot of potential once you get past the parts I didnít desire. It definitely didnít drink like a 9% stout, which is remarkable. Definitely willing to try this again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Headless cola brown with a distinct espresso aroma. Taste is mostly the same, with slight warming alcohol and a small amount of residual sweetness. $2/12oz

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours from the 12 oz.bottle a dark brown that borders on being black with a HUGE 2 1/2 finger beige head that seems to last forever before settling into a thick collar. It's impossible to judge the carbonation level by looking for bubbles in the darkness. The aroma is somewhat faint, but there are hints of coffee and smoke. 1st sip brings a mellow mixture of black coffee and unsweetened dark chocolate. The flavors are somewhat subdued and underwhelming at first taste, but they linger and get more noticeable on and after the swallow. The mouthfeel is somewhat on the thin side, but has more heft than your average macrobeer. Overall, this is a good offering. Quite a nice introduction to this brewery and it's beers! Looking forward to more!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Aroma is roasty and sweet sugared espresso. Fairly bitter. Lots of coffee in this one. Leaves a bitter, dark chocolate type finish.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a fairly opaque dark cola with beige head that dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; dark malt, coffee, and roast with a semi-sweet dark chocolate backbone. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel thatís a little thin but smooth. Enjoyable.
