Loose lips sink ships, and coquettish glory will never tell. A midnight stout brewed with coffee beans, Morning Glory wakes up at 9% ALC. By Vol., with the aroma of espresso.

Dark dark dark. Aroma of stale coffee. Quasi stale coffee taste too. Solid brew. Not terrible but not spectacular either.

Pours pitch black, literally cannot see light through any of this beer, with a dark mocha head. Smells of malts, coffee and mostly like a porter to be honest. It taste beautiful, so much coffee right off the bat and then a bit of dark chocolate bitterness. This is a delicious beer

Coffee, charcoal, and raisin aroma. Black, medium tan head. Dark roast coffee, plum skin at midpalate. Charcoal finish, thin body. Quite good and one of Dominion’s best.

12 oz bottle courtesy of a co-worker. Thanks Ian! Pours a jet black with a tan-colored head. Looks nice. Aroma is definitely espresso, a little chocolate and slight spice or pepper too. Interesting. Taste is similar with a burnt coffee/bitter lasting finish. Body is slightly thicker than medium, texture is a bit thick and creamy. Average carbonation. A great beer to have after a hard day. This bottle was chilled from room temp a couple of times so I am definitely interested in having one fresh. This one’s from April.

Pours black with a medium mocha head. Aroma has great robust espresso and roastiness. Flavor has nice roasty espresso as well and mixes in some burnt/bitter notes which actually overcome the espresso just a bit. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with a nice lingering espresso roastiness.

On tap at Quarry House Tavern in Silver Spring, MD. Opaque, black-brown with a thin tan head and excellent lacing. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate. Very mocha-like aroma. Taste of coffee/espresso, roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Medium/full body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355 mL bottle. Dark, with a small, short-lived brown head. There is black coffee in the nose, or maybe coffee with a little unrefined sugar. Not too strong. It is milder in the flavour, which is definitely on the sweet side. Not cloyingly so, however. A different take on the coffee stout.

Aroma of delicious coffee, roasty chocolate, and vanilla. Pours dark and has a good looking beige head. Taste is nice and chocolatey with roast coffee and iron. Mouthfeel is very light which is kind of disappointing. Finishes with iron and coffee. Tasty but kind of week.

From notes: Poured opaque black with a 3-finger tan head. Deep, roasty coffee aroma, with a slight peppery note. Full body with a mild oily thickness. Deep, strong coffee flavor. There is a lightly spicy note underneath, and a touch of cream at the back as it warms. Nice offering.

Appearance: Dark brown/black with finger thick tan head which quickly disappears down to glass ring. Aroma: Coffee, bread, pine/resinous, slightly earthy and woody, with roast maltiness. Taste: Low sweetness, medium/high bitterness and medium sourness. Coffee and burnt/roast malts. Palate: Thick texture and medium body with prickly carbonation and astringency. Lingering coffee finish with alcohol warmth and a sourness. Comments: Vert tasty, but quite a bitter coffee and sharpness in the brew from the coffee. Left glass lace ring.
