12 oz bottle into a Duvel tulip. A: Pours a borderline black color, albeit one that lacks impressive thickness. The head is a four finger khaki shade featuring nice retention. The head leaves behind some nice lacing, also. S: Thereís a good espresso presence here, but itís not overpowering or even super-strong. Beneath the coffee notes lie notes of licorice, chocolate, roasted barley, cream, and even some leafy hops. Really damn pleasant, if not massively bold. T: Initially it opens up with some light roasted barley and chocolate. Coffee builds up on the finish and aftertaste, backed by some licorice, nuttiness, char, and even a touch of piny hops. I donít think the espresso used here is amazing, which is my biggest quibble. Decently deep and enjoyable, though. M: Indeed, this one lacks body. Itís not the driest coffee stout either, choosing to err slightly towards a sweet finish. It goes down superbly, which is my #1 desire for a good coffee stout. O: I donít think it can compete with WnB or FBS. I do think, however, itís a solid alternative, and a superbly priced one at that. And it delivers the drinkability and the coffee-ness I look for.

Bottle from the Kihoskh, Copenhagen. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted sweet malt, creamy caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a big roasty, liqourice, coffee, dark chocolate palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A tasty beer, but needs more body.

Poured deep dark brown with a frothy beige head. Aroma of sweet berries, fudge, booze and toasted malt. Medium body, quite vanilla smooth, flavour as the aroma, milk chocolate added to the mix. Nice, but not really an Impy.

12oz bottle pours a murky black with some creamy, beige head. Nose has a nice mix of molasses, malt, coffee beans, chocolate and vanilla. Flavor has the right amount of sweetness, chocolate, mocha, coffee bean, molasses, some toast, a little caramel. Full, lightly sweet finish. Thought this would be imbalanced, but it was easy to drink.

Aroma: Sweet malt aromas with hints of coffee and chocolate. Appearance: Black with tan head that dissipates quickly. Taste: Medium bitterness with hints of sourness at the edges. Palate: Light-medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: Not a standout, but not a disappointment. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Found this beer a little thin and light. Prefer a thicker creamier mouth feel. Flavor was pretty enjoy with a solid coffee presence. Not overly sweet or bitter. Nicely balanced. Dark brown pour with an airy tan head that fades quickly. Aroma rather weak but shows signs of chocolate and coffee. Worth throwing in a craft your own but not picking up multiple at one time.

Bottle. Pitch black pour with minimal beige head. Espresso, dark chocolate, malt. Smooth and almost silky medium body. Smooth light sweet bitter finish. Donít feel the 9%. Very easy to drink

Sejt navn - sej etiket. Og ja - den smager af kaffe/expresso. Og den smager ganske glimrende...
