COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Oak Barrel Stout is rich and smooth, a draught brew so popular at our Brewup that we found a way to bottle it for a wider audience. We combine seven different malts and two hops to create a delicious stout, that we dry-hop with fresh vanilla beans and toasted oak to finish our little treasure. The result is a stout that has the bourbon barrel flavor we all enjoy, and hope you will to.

Note: made with oak chips and vanilla beans, not aged in barrels. Available bottled and draft outside of the brewpub.

12 0z. bottle. Aroma- a little coffee and vanilla. Not very strong. Appearance Nearly black generous tan head that goes away quickly. Flavor- Starts with a little sweetness, a little roastiness with undertones of oak. Dries out at the finish. Medium mouth feel. Overall pretty smooth with an oak character that is not overwhelming.

16-APR-2014, bottle @home, from Kihoskh. Dark, dark, brown with lasting tan head. Aroma is weak vanilla and a little roast. Taste is bourbon, vanilla, and chocolate. Better taste than aroma. Thin body, smooth carbonation. Fine drink.

Bottle at home, 11th April 14. Vanilla on the nose, taste is quite nice, too fizzy though, and too thin in the mouth. Nothing special

Poured deep dark brown with a dense off white head. Aroma of roast malt, milk chocolate, vanilla smoothness, presumably from the bourbon. Medium body, flavour is much as the aroma, a bit of wood appearing.

Brown-black body, medium sized tan head, spotty lacing. Oak, roast, light milk chocolate, hints of vanilla and creeping early stage infection in the flavor (tolerable for now). Medium bodied, mellow carbonation, muted finish.

Bottle - Very Dark Brown in colour. Malty; mildly roasted malts, some caramel, a little chocolate and hints of oak, vanilla and smoke. Hoppy; low hop bitterness. Fairly thin for ABV. Sweet roasty malty throughout finishes dry. Surprisingly mild in flavour. Easy drinking.

Pours black with a solid tan head. Roasty aroma with some vanilla bean character. Definitive roasty-vanilla flavor; chocoltey with some wood character as well. Quite smooth.

Not a stand out in the stout category but pretty drinkable. Right balance of sweet and bitter and enough weight to feel like you are drinking a real stout. Just a hint of the vanilla to me and the oak chips donít do much for me. Think I, personally, would stick to oak barrel or nothing. Pretty decent- would order a pint.

On tap at the Annapolis tavern. Pours black with light tan head, might be nitro. Aroma is big vanilla and roast. Taste is mostly vanilla with a soft roast finish.
