COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dominion Oak Barrel Stout is rich and smooth, a draught brew so popular at our Brewup that we found a way to bottle it for a wider audience. We combine seven different malts and two hops to create a delicious stout, that we dry-hop with fresh vanilla beans and toasted oak to finish our little treasure. The result is a stout that has the bourbon barrel flavor we all enjoy, and hope you will to.

Note: made with oak chips and vanilla beans, not aged in barrels. Available bottled and draft outside of the brewpub.

Bottle. Black with a beige head. Aromas are coffee, chocolate and vanilla with caramel. Slightly smoky with marzipan and blackberry. Flavours are coffee and sweet cola with lots of nutty marzipan. Dark berries with dark chocolate and citrus bitterness. Dry on the aftertaste. Good. Mine was 5.8 according to the import label.

Beer of month club. Pours dark brown with beige foam head. Nose is vanilla. Taste is vanilla, licorice and roasted malt (not getting the "bourbon" flavor mentioned in the description). Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Definitely getting a big oak aroma from this one. Chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Lot’s of oak and vanilla. Taste is smooth and again, full of vanilla, oak and chocolate. Very easy to drink and super affordable. Definitely recommended.

Pours a dark brown with a fairly creamy off white head which lingers.....aroma of chocolate, touch of vanilla, lactose?......taste is a bit thin, sweetness, slight vanilla, very slight wood notes....mostly just sweetness coming through. Was hoping for a bit more.

Bottle at Googies Folkestone. Black beer lasting tan head. Chocolate stout aroma. Yes so me oak comes through. Not much vanilla. Mostly a woody flavour from the barrel . Yes some sweetness. Not overly lactose. Decent. Not amazing. Too cold and fizzy ok.

A decent stout, not overly complex but very easy to drink. The oak is not very pronounced, can’t really tell it’s there at all.

Aroma: toasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, vanilla, dark fruits. Appearance: very dark brown, medium, frothy, beige head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: toasted malts with chocolaty flavours continue, prunes, vanilla, maybe a touch of wood. Overall: nice Stout, could maybe a bit more intense on the barrel ageing, yet very nice and decently complex. Bottle at the Lockhart, Marylebone.

12oz bottle. Not sure where I got this. Could’ve been Ohio or NC... blackish pour with thin soapy tan head. aroma of dusty, cocoa, light vanilla, little pine. tastes cocoa, light to moderate sweet, vanilla. faint background smoke and oak. don’t get much bourbon. kinda warm in a nice way. pretty interesting.
