COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Octoberfest’s decidedly malty flavor comes from a generous portion of Vienna Malts. The maltiness is balanced by German and Czech Republic noble hops for dryness. The balance between the malt and the hops and the long, cold (30 degrees F) maturation process make this an exceptionally drinkable beer.

Shrinking head, with nose of balanced hops and sweet malt. Medium body frames the hops and malt balance nicely. I would say that this is a near-replica of Victory’s version, but with a tiny bit more hop character. Excellent.

(Bottled 9/04/02) Big head that shrinks to a small one. Wonderful nose, lots of sweet malt and a touch of hops. The palate is medium in body. Good malt character. Very clean and well-rounded. A must try oktoberfest.

Not particularly my cup of Oktoberfest... Yes, had a healthy head and nice, hazy-golden-copper color, but it was a little too sweet in the flavor department for me. It was smooth and easy-drinking, but it had a big caramel and butterscotch flavor that I just couldn’t shake. Personally, I don’t like butterscotch, so I might be a little biased against this beer. Otherwise, I have a fairly large respect for Dominion.

Bronze color with little head. Beautifully intriguing floral and fruity aromas with a definite grape character. Good malt character and very clean with a hefty palate. Hop flavor and bitterness in the background, yet more prominate than other examples I’ve tried. A solid Oktoberfest and very pleasing.

Quite nice. Good, full, malty flavor, with some good hops. Nice color when poured. Lacked some depth of flavor, but still quite good.
