COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Octoberfest’s decidedly malty flavor comes from a generous portion of Vienna Malts. The maltiness is balanced by German and Czech Republic noble hops for dryness. The balance between the malt and the hops and the long, cold (30 degrees F) maturation process make this an exceptionally drinkable beer.

Poured a clear reddish amber with a thin tannish white head that quickly diminshed. Malt and caramel in the aroma. Sweet up front in the flavor. Grainy malt flavor with some biscuit. Nice hops in the back end, with some sweetness. Moderate mouthfeel and carbonation. Dry finish. Clean and tasty.

date reviewed: 31 January 2013... glassware: standard pilsner... occasion: last 30 Rock ever...cannot quantify the sadness... appearance: ambitiously bubbling copper body with a thcik, fluffy off-white head--sediment seems present... aroma: pleasantly malty; sharply incisive at the throat--not a boring stand-still lager.... palate: short notes: mellow and smooth, nice a nice cigar... taste: pearish, fruity, and surprisingly complex....some of it works, some of it trifles... overall: a pleasant beer to experience and revisit--quite a sessionable drink...

Cask at Jake’s Place. It pours clear deep amber with a small beige head. The nose is brown bread, toast, dark sugar, toffee and dried fruit. The taste is quite sweet, toasted sugar, toffee, earth and wood with a dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. No depth to it.... Very so-so.

[keg at Jake’s Place, Edinburgh] Clear rich-looking copper brown beer with a decent white head. Aroma is quite heavy on the sweet toffee, with some stone fruit and light resin. Very sticky on the flavour, rich creamy caramel and toffee. Some booze hum on the finish. Decent Oktoberfest [12042013]

Bottle. Hazy orange on pouring. Quit tasty at first but the flavours soon fade. Didn’t really work for me.

golden brown amber brew with aroma of Belgian type beer spice and malt. flavor has some sweetness and fruit and the body is kind of creamy and slick with a rush of carbonation that tingles the tongue. a bit of caramel in there.

Bottle beers of Europe. Bottling date 02/07/13, I picked it up on the 6th in the UK!?? sweet malt and berry flavours, yeasty notes, with a bitter faintly sour finish. Softish palate, late staleness. OK.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 7/24/2012. Pours lightly hazy and cloudy orange copper color with a nice 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of apricot, pear, apple, caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, light nuttiness, light grass, and herbal hops. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity. Taste of apricot, pear, apple, caramel, toast, toffee, nuttiness, brown bread, grass, light roasted grain, and herbal hop spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruits, caramel, toast, toffee, brown bread, nuttiness, light roasted grain, grass, and herbal on the finish for a bit. Nice flavor balance and robustness; with almost zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and fairly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a nice Oktoberfest style. Very nice flavor robustness and balance; and very smooth to drink. I enjoyed this quite a bit, well done.

Bottle. Vibrant amber beer with a strong head. The aroma is fruity with some bitterness, and the flavour is malty with some bitterness. Overall a nice fairly average roasted beer with some bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
