Octoberfest’s decidedly malty flavor comes from a generous portion of Vienna Malts. The maltiness is balanced by German and Czech Republic noble hops for dryness. The balance between the malt and the hops and the long, cold (30 degrees F) maturation process make this an exceptionally drinkable beer.

Good coppery amber appearance with a solid head and carbonation bubbles. A hint of floral and sweet malt on the nose. Basic taste of malt and grasses, nothing to write home about. Palate is a little thin, with a slightly bitter aftertaste with above average fizz. Overall, a fairly decent Marzen, but not the best I’ve ever had.

Very drinkable indeed. A very nice barley note to this, with some tinge of German hops and even a little saaz or something. Pours pretty murky brown for style. Light bitter barley finish. Very easy on the palate. Bottle.

Beautiful deep Amber color. Aroma reminded me of corn. Medium sweet malt flavor, not much in the way of hops. Rather bland.

Dark amber with thin rimming offwhite head; aroma is mildly grainy; Flava is rich malt touch of smoky roastiness; feels medium slightly fizzy foamy; finishes dry malty sweet notes

Bottled. Aroma was unobtrusive(smelled like a Lager). Has a strong bitter flavor with a stale(sour) aftertaste.

Fat @ Scion, Wash. DC. Smörkola och fruktighet hittas ändå trots att dofterna är allt annat än intensiva. Smörkola, röda äpplen och lime i smaken. Den här ölen kan man både ha och mista.
